And is this any different to the 'winter crisis' that is forecast every year? Will Labour use once again the *24hrs/3 days/one week (delete where appropriate) to save 'our NHS' slogan? I keep saying it, nothing will change until we move away from this argument as to which party will spend the most money on the NHS. After thirteen years of Blair and Brown, surely the NHS should have been sorted out? The problems with the NHS are not down to how much money is spent. If the previous government had not fixed it, then the last nine years certainly have not. You've got there at long last. It doesn't matter if Labour ir the Tories are in charge, none of them will 'fix' the NHS, because it needs complete reform and neither of them have the guts to face it.

Are you standing? Is Nicola Krankie standing? Good one nobby, I'm directly comparable with Farage yes. Leader of the Brexit party wont stand in election. He is a coward because he knows he would not be elected. For the 8th time. He has stood for election seven times, and now you call him a coward because he won't stand for an eigth? Have a word with yourself.

Talks big, the big voice on Brexit, represents the majority he ckaims. Sadly when it comes down to it he wont let the electorate judge him and his brexit vision when he launches in to fielding candidates all over the place.

He really doesn't want to get involved but had the courage to stand up to the undemocratic parties and got dragged in. He does stand for the majority on Brexit because the majority voted to leave.

You've been conned al and I feel sorry for you swallowing it to be honest. You only have to see his stance on the deal to see it's all about money. But not your money al, because we know your pocket will be lighter with his no deal. So who's money?

The guts they lack is not facing up to and declaring the true cost of a first class service and, not being honest perhaps about those treatments we cannot afford, like IVF or that people who end up in A&E as a result of binge drinking and injury as a result should pay for the treatment they then require. Taking the international comparisons we should be upping our spend by about 1.5% of gdp, or about £30billion per annum.

Back in the real world "Boris Johnson has been accused of only recognising a looming NHS crisis this winter over fears it will hamper the Conservatives’ chances in the December election. The British Medical Association has warned of an “unprecedented” crisis in the coming months due to the “extreme pressure” on staff across the country." And is this any different to the 'winter crisis' that is forecast every year? Will Labour use once again the *24hrs/3 days/one week (delete where appropriate) to save 'our NHS' slogan? I keep saying it, nothing will change until we move away from this argument as to which party will spend the most money on the NHS. After thirteen years of Blair and Brown, surely the NHS should have been sorted out? The problems with the NHS are not down to how much money is spent. The last Labour gov't used private health companies to help quickly reduce the enormous waiting lists that Labour inherited from the Tories. The Tories then introduced costly reforms to the NHS to vastly increase the use of the private sector. It means the NHS now has to spend money bidding against private companies for NHS contracts. The NHS also pays the full procurement costs. More money going into the NHS will help boost the profits of private health companies... who donate to the Tories.
According to John Major "Gove wanted to privatise it. Boris wanted to charge people for using it. Iain Duncan Smith wanted a social insurance system"

That's a dangerous path to go down though isn't it? What about the guy who breaks his leg playing football on a Saturday afternoon? Does he really need to play football? Is it his own fault? Also the people who injure themselves doing DIY? Should they be employing a professional instead? Where do you draw the line? While it is "free" it is there to be abused. With an insurance based system, if you use the health service too much, then your premiums will go up. You personally do suffer a financial hit !

Rumours are that the Tories are going to increase NHS spending by 34 billion ! That will fix all the problems in the NHS then? I'm sure that when Labout get wind of this they will promise to increase the spending by 38 billion ! It's just pointless politics from two old tired political parties. Nope, I don't think so either. It's just pouring more money into the ever increasing black hole.

Makes a bit of a mockery of your previous assertion about facts and having a mind of your own but there you go. I'll never convince you with facts something different than that which you believe with feelings. All the info is out there if you cared to follow it.

It's just pouring more money into the ever increasing black hole. Listened to a top bod from the NHS this morning on R4, begging political parties not to make the NHS a political football. Who could disagree, with that. But the facts are we, as a country, commit a lot less of our resources to health care. About £30billion on average, per annum, compared to our peers. And our outcomes reflect this fact.
