Decent half time score considering how we've played. If there is somehow any positive from this game, it's that we really should be losing by about 5 goals. If we were, we couldn't have any complaints. |

FINALLY! Football is back for me! I missed the Shrewsbury game as I was visiting family, the others were cup games so I haven't been able to watch (apart from Bromley away) and I was on holiday end of August - early November. With all the cups & international breaks etc, the last Rovers game I saw on iFollow was MK Dons - 12th October ffs! I've been eyeing up this fixture for a while, in theory we should win comfortably - but I don't think we will. I'll take a scrappy 1-0 win, but I have a bad feeling for some reason. No idea why! From what I've read, Southend a a truly awful side this season I'm so f*cking happy football is back. |

Worst performance so far from us under Cogs.
He needed to change it after the first goal, didn’t , the second was obviously coming , and then still nothing after the second.
We’re still in it at 0-2 but needs a big second half from everyone.

We cannot play 3 at the back in the second half. You shouldn't get cut open through the centre when you have 3 CBs. Therefore put that man elsewhere

Wow... last three home performances we look dreadful ... two against L2 sides and now against a bottom team in L1 who have lost five of their last six games yet are destroying us ... Not sure where we go after this today ... GC needs a big 45 minutes here. It’s no wonder crowds are falling ... We need Davies back ASAP ... What is going on with him FFS! I love going to the gas but today is my only day off this week and Ive got my works do after work tomorrow so gave it a miss and Im glad. Im a GC fan and he is doing well,result wise.But our Crowds are 2/3k below where they should be due to our style of play. You take away our good def untit (apart from today) and JCH and we are a bottom l1 side. |

Therefore put that man elsewhere I thought we looked even worse when we went to 4 at the back. It also meant Sercombe had to play wide left leaving Upson and Ogogo overrun in midfield. |

What's happened to Tom Davies? He had a niggle about 6 weeks ago? I can't understand how Maher could suggest yesterday he doesn't know what's going on with his injury, doesn't he even speak to his players/medical staff? I guess Rollin being MotM recently indicates he would be a big miss. |

What are GC's tactics? Try not to concede. That's it.
Plymouth & now Southend, just doing the basics right. Not rocket science is it. We could buy 2 or 3 creative players who would then be told don't do anything creative.
Even if we get something out of this today it'll purely be the players being given free reign. Not GC's tactics.
I was hopeful that today's team talk would have been easy from GC. 'Southend are crap, go and show them what you can do, the balls in your court. Show me what you can do'

I'm a massive fan of GC but thought he sounded defeated in his pre match interview on the radio ~ can't blame being tired and a busy schedule ~ they are pro football players,hardly digging coal everyday Then give the likes of Hargreaves and Tomlinson game time, although Southend played a league game mid week so hardly had their feet up. |

No point in playing 9 defensive players and expect any attacking threat.
3-5-2 and the ball is by passing the middle 5
Why Coughlan hasn’t changed system as it was obvious to everyone here it wasn’t working after 15 minutes, is beyond me.
Unless a miraculous 2nd half performance many here won’t be returning to watch this dire crap anytime soon and attendances will drop and less revenue for the club.
