Are there any managers jobs available right now? Any about to become available? (Ipswich?) I can think Portsmouth... that's about it.

Awful if true, no one on the market that could do half the job I think he’s done that I think we’d go in for. Holloway would be disastrous imo

www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/graham-coughlan-transcript-bristol-rovers-3636723"At this moment in time, both myself and the players at this football club have achieved very little. Yes, it's okay that we're winning games and we're in fine form. That can always change, it can easily change, but pats on the back, what are they? Let's be straight, when I go home I get a cuddle and a kiss off my wife and kids and that's all that matters to me really to be quite honest with you." Sounds like a distance thing possibly?

Can't be easy working the week so far from wife and family, add to that the endless comments from the haters, add to that the division and problems at the top and suspecting there is no money to take the club forward and I can see where he is coming from. Just make the right decision GC for you and your family.

Not another person working closely with or for the ALQs losing trust in them surely? The list is getting ever longer. You don't know if that's the case though do you? Personal life doesn't sound like a fall out with the board to me. Why did he talk about not knowing where he can take the club then? If it’s all personal life he wouldn’t be talking negatively about the FC would he?

We're all presuming this is either him falling out with the board or taking another job but what if it's got nothing to do with football at all but there's some sort of issue in the home life such as an illness.
Regardless of what the issue is, I hope it's resolved and GC can continue being successful as Bristol Rovers manager.

Probably also related to the stingy owners not giving jch a contract he deserves. sell up and get out our club! As much as those fans and their comments behind the dugouts

Pure speculation but could be he’s been told JCH will most likely be sold and he’ll get little to none of the transfer fee to pay for a replacement as it may be used to pay off debts/help the stadium cause

Why would he possibly want to leave? 1. He's been told there's no backing in January from the current owners. 2. He's watered off with the poor support from our fanbase, many of whom are still sniffling over DC's departure. 3. New owner's taking over and bringing in their own man. I’d go for option 1. Taken us as far as he can and wants to better himself while his stock is high. I’d go for 2 and then 1 personally

Only team 'oop North I can thin of looking for manager is Grimsby?
Seems very strange for this to come out now. Bit as mentioned probably means no money in Jan and possibly JCH off too...?

The idea that he would say these things to get more transfer money is just wrong, it doesnt work like that. Likely the conversation has already happened and he's been told 'sorry the kitty is empty [or not enough]'. He's be very right to be watered off if he has been told that no cash is available or that JCH is going to be sold if an offer comes in.
More likely a bid has come in for him [Pompey?] and he's mulling it - hence Starnes being up at Portman Road too. Cant see him going to a backroom role unless the money is very good.

On another thread I highlighted his record and some clown’s (and he’s not alone) reply was how he had lost 1000 fans. Quite unbelievable and I wouldn’t blame him in the least if he was off to somewhere that will appreciate him more. Still, luckily for us we need only 16 points for safety.

Why doesn't he move his family down here? What for the fickle world of football? .He could be sacked in a few months if things went wrong. I would suggest to him to keep going on until the end of the season and then see what we can do here.Right now we are promotion contenders and picture that on his CV. I think its to do with where he lives and missing his family and that he wants to be backed by the board but they are not willing to and he thinks this result is his peak.
