Personally i find th Christmas period one of th toughest where yous can feel bloody lonely even in a crowded place and when it's all over i'm always kinda glad but then struggle my ass off getting through th Dark month of January.
So, i jes wanted ta say if ya see folk out an about - ask em how they are, and i mean ASK THEM HOW THEY ARE!. Even some of th folk that appear smiling an full of jokes, many are struggling inside. An if like me you are one of th many strugglin inside - try to talk to someone, it really can help.
Cheers everyone.

Very well said Jock. Nice one mate. Even more fitting given the very sad news of Chris Barker's sudden passing on NYE... I love Christmas, but do find the days that follow (in particular NYE/Day) quite challenging at times.. Hard not to be reflective at this time of year and as anyone who has experienced struggles with their mental health will already know all too well, getting too caught up in your thoughts is not particularly healthy. Good to talk Gasheads!

Good to talk Gasheads! Absolutely gutted to hear the news about Chris Barker. Heard about it at the Weston game yesterday. Met him briefly a couple of times and was a nice bloke and a respected coach. Will be sadly missed. Thoughts and condolences go to his friends and family. RIP Barks.

It’s fairly easy to wear a mask and pretend, in front of others but it’s another thing when left to think for too long. Feel very sorry for the guy. For anyone feeling very bad please look up the Hope project. They helped me, massively. My GP says there is hardly any real help for men but this is one that is exclusive for men.

Well said Jock, it's a time when everybody seems to have a smile on their face, and I always feel like an absolute freak because I'm not able to keep the "happy mask" on for the whole duration.
Even worse this year, as one of my brothers was diagnosed with brain tumours just before Christmas. Nothing can be done for him, and he's likely to pass any day now. I haven't been able to visit him in hospital, as I really struggle getting out of the house at the moment (anxiety) - something which I know I'll regret, and my other brother just doesn't understand why I can't go.
My thoughts go out to everybody who struggles at this time of year - take care, and seek support if you need it.
