Birmingham City are beatable at the Mem so still a chance of a decent tie in round 5, if we can get past Coventry.
Whilst playing Liverpool looks a good draw they'll only send their second string team anyway, given that team managed to beat Everton's 1st team.

Who is to say Shrews wont beat City? They've a massive incentive now to beat them in most likely a packed ground.

Could of been worse. Could of got Oxford or Portsmouth for another all L1 tie, least it's a Championship side.

Very winnable games , who knows , we could end up playing in the fifth round , stranger things have happened.

Why are we so cursed with getting big away days?
Had Chelsea a few years ago in the EFL cup, but otherwise what do we get? Derby & Fulham as our ‘big away days’?

One for the stats guys.
If we draw against Birmingham and go to a replay, would it be the first time we've played away to 2 different sides at the same ground in the same season?

Home draw against a team we maybe could beat on the day, anyway beating Coventry away will take some doing so I'm not getting to excited about the west terrace.

IF we beat Coventry & City beat Shrewsbury - likely to be another Sunday fixture Bristol Rugby home to Gloucester on the Sunday.. Whoever plays v Liverpool will surely be live on TV, so unlikely to be a 3pm on Saturday fixture?

The one upside is we won’t be too gutted if we don’t get past Coventry.

reasonable draw with chance of getting to 5th round. think we will be party poopers to all those brummy fans thinking they have a 'home 'derby, also why be jealous of the teds if they get through , its not v Liverpool ,its nothing more than us playing under 23 sides in 'that' other cup ,fans so despise !. there are no 'big' draws any more, the best you can hope for is a visit and a day out to a super stadium like ,Emirates, London stadium, Old Trafford, Spurs stadium etc, to play an under 23 side.

When we beat Coventry next week, it keeps the sequence going. We've played teams from the National, then League2, League 1 and hopefully next the Championship. Draw at home and win away again.... Didn’t that happen in 2008(?) the year of the Craig Hinton goal machine. I think we beat Rushden and Diamonds, Southampton (Lambert free kick) and Fulham on the way before finally losing to WBA ?
