That's no kind of answer, and you don't really have one, do you? You don't know why GC selected him. You don't know what GC thinks of him. You don't know how he performs in training sessions. You don't know why JCH is so pleased to have him in the team. You don't know why we did so well in the league when he was a regular. You don't know, but you just look at his goals tally and call him useless. Again and again. Despite the clear evidence that the side did well this season when he was selected. And also when JCH was out injured. Anyway, we have a new manager now who doesn't rate him, and we are winless in four, so you must be pleased or something. No kind of answer to what? What am I answering? All of those same don't knows apply to you. You don't know any more than I do. So what's your point? I do know he's the worst striker ever to play for Rovers. I can get that information from his goals to minutes played ratio. Why would I be pleased that we've lost 2 league games since our new manager joined? Nichols played all but 13 minutes of both of those by the way. Nichols is not the worst striker to ever play for Rovers - far from it. He personally may not have scored anywhere near enough goals but he has had a significant impact in games through his overall play - be it assists, creative vision with passing, his high press work rate to unsettle defenders or his off the ball running to create space for others to take advantage of. This a player is crap if they don't score is rubbish is just that. If you can do 9 out of 10 things excellently in your job but are weaker on one bit does that make you crap at your job? No!! LJG not sure why you so vehemently dislike Nichols so much but I have a strong aversion to your viewpoint on him. We can agree to disagree but the general view from multiple managers, coaches and players seems to suggest he offers something more than you make out. I do understand why he may have been told his contract is not going to be renewed hence why he's been told he can look elsewhere (which he would be able to anyway as he's out of contract in the summer so can sign pre-contract with another club) and we are hoping to recoup a small part of the fee we paid and free up wages to bring in more of Garners targets and not breach FFP rules. The BP story (which has not beeneed substantiated) is a non story that has been click bait sensationalised (shock, horror)

Reilly will play off of JCH. Reilly won't play. Probably won't even be in the squad.

Yep but I suspect that Garner will like his energy and press from the front. Other than that who do we have to play? JCH-will play Victor-Awful player Nichols-won’t be in the squad as leaving Smith-injured I think circumstance will dictate that Reilly MAY play tomorrow

IMO we did not see enough of Reilly, he was in and out of the side, spent a lot of time on the bench, for me get rid of super Tom, send Vic back, and keep Reilly to the end of the season playing him off of JCH.

If we are short of numbers, he might have wanted to have a look at him and the squad, without putting him on. But pointless and I would rather have put a youth player on the bench, if that is the case. Not sure what the ruling is??

1) they have a move lined up back to Scotland as I believe that’s ok? 2) garner believes he’s better than what else we’ve got 3) a bench filler - not sure if you need minutes on the pitch to count?

As mentioned above, not many consistent chances. Garner May have seen enough in training to think he is a good shout for the last 6 months for the wage we pay vs bringing in someone else. I’d like to see him get a chance.

It's a FIFA rule. So it includes all professional league's I think. He could go non league, but they would pay less towards the wages. Can Scottish football be classed as non league?? Not sure what the rules are if he does not come on.

It’s an only an issue if he comes off the bench but what’s the point if you can’t bring him on. Just had well a youth teamer fill a space
