What's the best bacon though? When dozzy told me she preferred unsmoked I didn't speak to her for a week.... Its actually difficult to find decent bacon these days unless you want to pay a decent sum.... Where's that from jocky?
I prefer unsmoked as well, and like it a bit on the rare side rather than too crispy. Heresy, I know.
Most of the supermarket output seems very water-based these days, even a lot of the 'premium' stuff. If I'm feeling a bit flash I'll spend a bit extra on some Denhay unsmoked back (they do a smoked one too for those of that persuasion). Best stuff tends to come from the farm shops or decent butchers but as I've currently got neither within a three mile radius I tend to have to 'make do'.
Bacon sarnie has to be on white bread, with butter; and a soft roll if going in a bap.
Typing that has made me hungry.

I'm liking the 1 golden in support.
And you can't beat the crisp pairing 2 centre backs..all you need is two flanks:
Red one side. Brown the other.

Nice jocky, but I'd cut the sausages length wise personally, but I can see the attraction of not bothering..... Also no butter?
In other news I slipped on the stairs whilst going to work this morning. As I was falling backwards in a millisecond I turned to grab the bannister but didn't quite make it and smacked my jaw on about 3 steps on the way down. I've broken two teeth at the back of my mouth....
Probably pictures of soup from me for a while....
