…continuing our icon series, tonight th legend that is…… Another in the series of they don't/can't make them like that any more. I don't really remember him racing, though know about his pedigree. I do remember him on co-commentary with Murray Walker and what an odd couple they were. Murray all 'Forces' and Hunt completely at odds with that. Fully understand that sport in general has become much more professional, but would enjoy a few more loose(r) cannons in the commentary box. |

Ah the old days when F1 drivers would travel the world, seducing numerous beautiful and willing women along the way, drinking and smoking, partying in Monaco, and having a great time. As a F1 driver should. Of course nowadays they are supremely professional but maybe a little bit boring. The technical teams behind them are as important as the drivers. |

Additonally, I suspect the drivers needed to imbibe loads of booze and fags and party like it's 1999, given the high mortality rates that existed going in to that era.
It's great that we can take almost for granted that most drivers will retire alive now, though it's a shame that teams can't compete on such an even basis.

A resident at the care home was asked if she'd like to go and see a jazz pianist....
But was incredibly disappointed because she thought she was going to see a ginormous penis....
