Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I saw him at Nottingham Ice Arena in about 2005. He had a full band and played keyboard. Every song was arranged in a 12-bar shuffle so every single one sounded exactly the same. Absolutely awful. The worst live music I've ever seen and I include kids school plays in that. Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid - 1973 Seen him live in Cardiff twice - never had the best of voices, but as a poet/songwriter, the best of a generation imo. That's the one. Butch Cassidy was Rain Drops Keep Falling on my Head. Hey, I love Dylan as a recording artist which is why it's all the more disappointing he was so shockingly bad live. Like he was making a point that he'd rearranged every song into a 12 bar blues shuffle style so people wouldn't be getting what they wanted.

Where's jocks dinners gone?
I'm guessing he's gone for a round of golf at St Andrews, and is currently (approximately) 400 over par....
And still at the first hole....

Can you imagine how crap you would have to be at golf to take over 400 shots on a Par 4 hole that is only 376 yards long?! Maybe more likely if it were a Par 5 mind ….

I actually landed a tee shot about 4 yards from the hole at Ashton court once.... Turned out it was the wrong green....

Any fan of Dylan should know he has a habit of being a complete dick at live shows. He has a long history of deliberately watering off audiences. Shame, because he is a good artist. On the other side of things, I saw The Cure about 20 years ago and they were absolutely amazing. They played 2½ hours and it was like listening to a recording of every song you would ever wish them to play. (If you are a fan, obviously )

As you say their live sets are something else - their gigs are a bit like the alternative music equivalent of going to see Ken Dodd live, in that you're never, ever, going to get that last train if you stay for the full set.

My other half was at that - one of *the* headline performances by all accounts.

Yeah, the same year I believe pulp stepped in for the stone roses.... I don't believe a word about squires collar bone, I reckon they just knew they weren't prepared.... Pulp were fantastic though.....

Pulp were/are one of the few bands of that era that I never saw live and would jump at the chance if they ever reformed; even though I know it would never be the same. I watched lots of that Glastonbury on Channel 4 - must have been a few more years before it ended up on the BBC. The good lady did about 12 Glastos on the bounce. Had tickets for the 50th anniversary in 2019 which got cancelled - were supposed to roll over to 2020 so assume they will for next year.
I've been lucky to see some great stuff over the years; but I can't wait to see some of the rescheduled gigs that I've got coming up over the next few months. A bit like getting back to Fratton Park - it's not so much the performance as the chance to see the performance.
