I asked Walsall and Lincoln fans their opinions on Ginnelly to which they said: Lincoln: “I liked him but a typical winger, one good game followed by a few awful ones. Surprised he left Walsall and went to Preston, too big a jump as it's proved.” Walsall: “Good player we lost him to Preston this time last year was sad to see him go worked well with Leahy here offers a threat going forward but also tracks back a lot and helps out his full back good signing for you mate.” Sounds pretty positive tbh So all the lincoln and walsall fans said the exact same thing? wow Well I asked and only 1 from each team replied. Of course you’re more than welcome to get off your high horse and ask yourself, before criticizing others. But I guess you’d rather be a typical GasChat poster.

Although not sure how he fits into our present line up with wing backs.

I mean which poster shall we ask on here about tony craig or ollie clarke?

Preston were prepared to pay £50K along with a decent contract so they must have clearly seen some potential in him. Plus Walsall were in a similar position to us in December before they slid down the table after he left.

We payed 300k for him and we slid down the table when we dropped him.

So did we slip down the table after dropping him?? We were slipping already. Personally think Ogogo and Clarke missing at the same time, was a bigger factor.

Although I don't really understand you anti Rovers agenda, what the point in continuing to support the club if you can't get over DC's sacking?

I dont rate nichols but the only way to judge a new player is watching him play for rovers. People on here still on about what walsall fans say about leahy even though we have seen him play with our own eyes for 6 months.

He did enough for Preston to pay a fee for him. Didn't they do well while he was with them?? Flying near the top, then they dropped and went down after he left. Or was that a different season? Played with Leary before. I think it was the season before but could be wrong. In fairness they didn't rate leahey but I don't think he's been to bad. He's better than Kelly imo. Welcome to the gas ginnelly if rumours correct. Just a right back and striker to go :-) Ginnely was ace the season we sold him. One of a few real stand out performers up until him leaving. The rest were abysmal - including Luke ‘I cant defend but I slag off the fans’ Leahy. Awful footballer - saved by his set pieces. I’m probably biased - but he was a part of the two worst defences I’ve ever seen at Walsall.

He’s made a few mistakes but generally been very good and realistically was signed as a back up to THD... so far I’m generally pleasantly surprised by him considering the Walsall opinions of him.
