Sounded like a good performance from us.
Out of the Cup; now let's get out of the Conference too.

unfortunately he will be wasted if we can't get someone in the middle that can make the most of it!

No disgrace losing to a football league club.

No disgrace losing to a football league club. Never thought we'd say that. I'm tired of low expectations now though, I wanna go home

Would have been nice to have a cup run.
Shame, but atleast it wasn't a loss in the league which has to be main priority. I'd say we could always have a run in the Trophy, but I've heard it can actually be beneficial to not have a big run in that.

Its so frustrating, the so called review blamed relegation on a lack of a decent goalscorer and then we go out an sign dross. We should have invested in at least one decent experienced striker and its criminal that we didnt. Also why stick with Matty Taylor when he has failed to score for so many games ? rant over, have a good evning everyone We did in White but somehow he's managed to be worse than Taylor?

I think it's a bit like the FA Cup, you need to score goals in order to win games and progress to the next round.

Going Tuesday night; although I am not sure where the goals are going to come from; whats the betting Clarke will continue playing hapless Matt Taylor up front.

White can only be judged to be worse than Taylor once he has had the sametime on the pitch!

He has and whenever he's played he's managed to look worse, hence why DC's trying to bring in another striker or two.

Today you would have thought we were the home side both from our attacking football and the noise made by the Gasheads even though there didn't seem to be that many. Tranmere showed why they are where they are in the League. Nervous with numerous missed passes. They will consider themselves very lucky today! We started well and it is one of the best passing games I have seen in a while. There were some great inter changes in the game and Sinclair especially must have a high pass % rate. Most of the players had a good game and Brunt seemed on good form. Taylor makes great runs and passes but never looked like scoring as did most of our "strikers". Looks like a midfielder playing upfront. Harrison made an initial impact but put one shot high in the stands when it looked easier to score. I have no idea who hand balled but it looked a bloody ludicrous thing to do when the ball was going nowhere. Gosling had some great wing play but looks very one footed playing on the wrong wing always having to cut back. Cunnington was brought on in a bold move by Clarke to at least "go for it" and finish attacking which nearly paid off. I won't criticise the team as it was a great performance and very enjoyable to watch the game. I hope they can keep this form up but yes we DO need a striker/fox in the box/just someone to get on the end of the balls we get in the box.....
Well played the Gas and well done the Gasheads for making so much noise

Tranmere were very poor - we were the better team for most of the game. Can see why they're bottom of the League. Unless the new owner and manager can make some decisive changes they will be in the Conference next season. This was the best I've seen Rovers play for a long while, (although I live in Liverpool and don't get to that many games) a real team performance, good linking play, everything except the final product ... Sinclair was outstanding, getting everywhere and winning many tussles. The new loanee from Fulham looked impressive, reckon he can do a job for us, some excellent runs up the right wing and accurate crosses in. Always good to see the goalie come up in a Cup game! Up the Gas!!!

Well played the Gas and well done the Gasheads for making so much noise thought exactly the same as you my most enjoyable game of the season obviously its always nice to pretend you are back in the league for a day but we played really well i liked what i saw from taylor and brunt i am hoping that can continue i think brunt done more than taylor did which i was quite shocked about but who knows have we got the new striker we have wanted.....good game just wish every game was like that
