JVS
Leahy
Kilgour Tone Rollin
Rodman
Clarke Upson
Sercombe Barrett
JCH
Andre Mitchell-Lawson Ginnelly Davies Kelly Reilly Nichols
Lose 2-1 with a much better performance - damn we really need a right back to be able to switch things up

We've plenty of players in midfield to do the attacking side of the game/Leahy can get forward more on the left. We need to try something different or it'll just be yet another defeat.

4-2 Out of nowhere it suddenly clicks with a Shrewburyesque game. More likely to happen away than at the mem. One of the new lads on the score sheet too.

Do you like it ? Think it will come good ? Genuinely interested to know because I haven’t seen JCH play well without a strike partner yet.

If he doesn't play them, then he can kindly f off with the tired excuse. Personally I'd have thought it bonkers to go to a top of the table inform side and play all 3 youngsters when they are all attacking/wide men, the only hope of getting a result is the GC approach of keeping it tight and trying to snatch a goal. Next week at home we can think of using the wingers. That's fine, but if we're going to do that then don't use tiredness as an excuse.

Got a tenner on us to win at 6/1 I put a tenner on us winning at Rotherham back in the JW days at 8/1, we won 3-1.... Mind you we lost at home to 2-0 at home to top of the table gills in the game before when we were the better side so the odds were sparkling....

Bollocks to the new signings. I hope (to use the vernacular) Maher pulls his balls out of BG’s handbag and goes back to the tried and tested. Nothing fancy, nothing clever. Punt it up the pitch, win the 50/50s and shoot on sight like GC drilled us to.
For the record I’m actually even less enthused now Smith has gone. All the talk is of JCH’s role but he has been out for a lot of this season. I would argue the tried and tested is more Smith up front alongside Nichols. Arguably our poor form has coincided with the arrival of BG AND the return of JCH. Dare I say it, but both Maher and JCH have a point to prove right now.

Ooh er sir, Bolders should be able to give you more info on the grinder situation? I remember about 7 or 8 years ago we were massive underdogs and we won there 3 - 1, more of the same today please! COYB.

I can't recall Smith having one good game, apart from his last one, Ipswich?, he seems to have been most impressive as a second half sub but if Sheff Utd have recalled him there's little we can do about it. I can't understand the logic in dropping Nichols, even if we don't intend offering him a new contract, as I assume he'd always have known that was likely anyway. Now we have Bennett and him sat on the bench whilst earning big money. The big loss as been Ogogo and to a lesser extent OC as we've lost our bite in midfield, with those two returning to fitness, hopefully, we can turn the corner, results wise.

Tough one this ,even with Jester in charge its hard to be positive for this one but as ever with my best rose tinters on and footballs habit of not always going to plan i predict a battling 0-0 draw to start us off on a better run.
