Excellent signing for us ...Nice surprise as well ! Think he could do very well for us .... nice to see the link with Chelsea is still open after the Colkett / Clarke Salter /DC disaster. If blackman performs like clarke-salter and colkett this will be a disaster as well. But on paper this one looks a good signing.

It will balance itself out when JCH, Clarke Kigour and Sercombe get sold at 11.54pm on the last day.

Even worse was a player called Riordon.Never moved and wouldn't have made Totterdown Athletic's Reserves. Baldvinsson has to be up there too. Mark McGhee didn't care one bit about us. Another pay day for him. To be fair to McGhee, and you have to have balance, Baldvinnson was one for the future, and everyone hailed him as a good prospect. He decided it wasn't for him, got released, and f ucked off back to Norway or wherever. Other than that, McGhee was a useless f ucking idiot who would have got us relegated if he hadn't been fired. I remember that was after a tonking up at York. I think we were bottom of the league and Higgs fired him after the final whistle. Didnt McGhee get into a car with Kenneth and drive off, never to be seen again?

I'm sorry, but to say they did OK is just wrong IMO. Did you see Clarke-Salters performance against Millwall? One of the worst performances I've seen watching the Gas. I sh!t myself(as did Clarke-Salter) every time they crossed a ball into our box.
Also we sent Colkett back because he was that useless.
I too think they were disasters. How C-S got a move to Norwich in the Championship the following season is beyond me.

When McGhee first took charge our form was brilliant, we were scoring 6s and 7s at home and Carayol was on fire. He got an instant new manager "Bounce". Unlike now.

Clarke-Salter and Colkett were hardly disasters. 2 young kids with their first foray into mens Football. Charlie Colkett put in some good displays, he got the winner in a 3-2 win at Northampton, a great goal in a 2-0 win at Oldham and I remember an incredible bit of skill away at MK Dons in a 3-3 draw, after being 3-1 down. It was a high ball in the air and without bringing it down, back heeled it first time to set up a goal for Matty Taylor it was a brilliant bit of skill. Were they World Beaters? No. But both of them put in decent performances considering they were only 18/19 at the time.

You only really get a new manager bounce when a club is at a low ebb, but that wasn't the situation here. In some ways I think it's easier for a manager on a personal level taking over an underperforming club in a bad league position rather than an overachieving one because usually the only way is up.

Clearly. As he went to Sunderland. Why are you on here? All you seem to do is come on here and correct people. I could maybe understand it if you contributed to some forum debate etc too but literally all you seem to do on here is try to make others look silly by correcting them and being patronising.

Ogogo isn't a very technically good player but his work rate, attitude and combatitiveness makes him an important player for us. Whereas JCS and Colkett wouldn't have made my first 11 during their time here. Neither seem to have gone very far in their careers since either.

If you take all our ex players over the last 5 years i'm sure we would all have different opinions on them,i mean look at the debate on here about tom nichols! The previous poster implied that rovers were involved in the relative failure of the 2 chelsea youngsters but i personally thought they were poor performers. Are we trying to please chelsea or win games when we loan players?

Excellent signing for us ...Nice surprise as well ! Think he could do very well for us .... nice to see the link with Chelsea is still open after the Colkett / Clarke Salter /DC disaster. Well I mean that’s just an outright lie isn’t it? Colkett was class he was just inconsistent which isn’t something to be surprised about with a young player. We probably couldn’t afford to play him as often as we wanted purely because of that, we needed someone to perform a 6/10 every game rather than someone who was a 9/10 one week then a 3/10 for the next 3. CS came with a huge amount of pressure if you ask me, being talked about as the next John Terry etc from everyone at Chelsea and people familiar with England at youth level. He didn’t do too well and hasn’t really anywhere he’s been but they were hardly disasters.
