6 pages of a 1 man war against the forum. Good luck you’ll need it. Oi, I had one guy agree with me But no im sorry if i upset anyone, clearly i have. I just get fed up of reading all this what if pie in the sky theories on here, just wanted to hit everyone with some cold hard facts. And the fact remains, at the moment, on and off the pitch there is zero to be positive about?

What a crazy thread this is, it’s got to be Midlandgas in disguise again! I was thinking exactly that!

And the fact remains, at the moment, on and off the pitch there is zero to be positive about? The fact that spectators didn’t want to pay £25 to watch us when we in the magical number “4TH” and watch the opposition miss chance after chance, Thinking how are we still in this game after nichols loses another hoof upfront from our defence and then somehow rodders scores a goal. That was awful to watch and never sustainable and that’s shown. The same people who didn’t go and watch it and wanted GC out even though we somehow scraped some results together and we’re wining games now want BG out because the football is still sh**, I would rather the football is still sh** but their is a plan moving forward rather than Week in and week out we play 5 at the back and hope they don’t score and hopefully anssi pulls off some worldies (oh he’s injured). Watching two midgets trying to get the ball off 2 giant centre backs. What’s to be positive about? We made 7 exciting signings,3 of them perms that look intelligent signings. We’re still in a ok position in league one (not non league) We have important players like ogogo/hare/anssi on the mend and We have a vision of young exciting talent playing a decent and entertaining level of football with a manager who has from now til the start of next season to coach this squad. We aren’t going to sack him unless we went down. we would have to pay up his contract and that’s never an option for us. So why not write this season off and judge him at the end of next season or by Christmas

Agree with most of the above.
However, I don't think we can wait until the end of next season to judge BG. He will need to have turned things around way before that.

Anyway what magic recipe is BG going to come up over the summer which works next August but hasn't worked this Feb, March & April?

No but he hasn’t had a lot of time with his personal family issue to deal with. We don’t normally operate like most success hungry clubs unless you start blaming players and the board like our last man then your gone.( which he’s doing again now, blaming budget and players). He needs to clear out the dead wood in the summer and recruit again but more permanent signings and as long as were mid table but improving and more entertaining then that’s success to me.

How can you call any of the signings panic signings? They haven't even played! The sheer volume of the signings would suggest so. No it doesn't. It suggest a new manager wants to sign players to suit a different system as he feels he can't get the style of football he wants with the players he had.

Not sure replacing like for like strikers and signing 3 wide players is really going to vastly change the system, we've still got basically the same defence, same midfield and JCH upfront. Only one striker cam play alongside JCH and in midfield we've got the usual problem of needing 3 CM's or we get over run.

He's had a full week this week so let's see if there's a big improvement on Saturday/next Tuesday, getting players fitter sounds nonsense to me as we've never looked like any of the players have lacked fitness under GC.

Coughlan coached us to be a side that sat deep, defended passively & counter attacked. That requires far less fitness than the high-press that Garner wants to use and we’re seeing that atm with our second half performances declining. JML threw up on the pitch twice on Saturday after running himself into the ground pressing for the first 30 minutes or so - we aren’t fit enough to sustain that way of playing, regardless of whether you think it’s nonsense or not.

What chances? Honestly if there was a thread on here entitled 'Do you think some people can't help posting on every thread' then there'd be someone that would immediately post 'no'.

You guys are funny, you like to base your opinions on what ifs and theories, thats all i ever see on here is theories. FACTS, no wins in 12, havent deserved to win a game in 12, hardly any shots on target, defence looking very suspect. Only 1 goal from open play anyone disagree with me? if so state your facts. Before BG we were 11 unbeaten. he is AWFUL just accept we have a less than dire manager and lets move on take out the emotion and rose tints and you will very clearly see we are a club on a huge downward spiral and a couple of losses away from turmoil. Starters, we've scored 2 goals from open play.
Now you like facts, but you disregard the facts behind why BG has so far struggled. GC would have struggled if he had stayed. Been over performing with a small squad. Too many games in a short period of time would take its toll and thats what its done for BG.

Agree with most of the above. However, I don't think we can wait until the end of next season to judge BG. He will need to have turned things around way before that. At our level 2 full transfer windows should be enough to judge BG. He has fully took advantage of the first window. I expect to see quite a few off loaded in the summer and new players coming in and see where we are come late November / early December to assess where we are with a bit of time before the 3rd transfer window.
Personally, I am really looking forward to the summer to see BG's vision become more clear.
