Tranmere's pitch been shocking all season with lots of games cancelled.
Tonight the conditions will be enhanced by a strong gusting wind. Not really a game for fast flowing football. The team that wants the points most will get them. I'm usually an optimist but it will take a real battling performance to leave the Wirral with anything except excuses.
