I just hope we start winning soon, l am going to reflect on where we are following the Sunderland away game, we are staying in Newcastle next week so will be a good time to try and make sense of our situation. One thing for sure BRFC will have to stick with Ben for the rest of the season.

Indeed and you only have to look at how the team now reacts, when we concede. You do not have to be trained in the study or body language to see this. Heads go down & they look dejected. There has been a sea change in the way the are now to how they were, under GC. The team just look disjointed and void of any confidence. I think wins breed confidence. Not sure that's totally down to Garner. JCH's drop in form is as much to do with us not winning as BG. If he'd been in reasonable goalscoring form we'd have won 3 of the last 6 odd games. He missed a hatful at Wycombe the penalty against Fleetwood and the 2 one on ones against Tranmere off the top of my head. I can only give my point of view through my own experiences & although I never played professionally, the teams I played for were better when we had a good figurehead to lead us and knew when to either praise or chastise. Obviously I don’t know the reality of how Garner is with the players but the team does look lacklustre right now.

With DC it seems that the more badges he gained, the worse our results got. I just think many are clutching at straws for what should be a simple enough job. Get the players feeling confident, give them some positive reinforcement or a bollocking, if needed and get the team playing to it’s best potential. It doesn’t need to be a science but people do love their labels and badges. Absolute nonsense about the badges and DC. He had his A License when he joined us. The higher he got the more he struggled with recruitment...that was his problem. I did say seemed and never said it was a definite thing. I think it’s pretty well known what changed DC now.

I get results aren’t what we all want but some people need a reality check. Since Xmas AFC (h) lost 2-1 - should’ve put the game to bed early doors as were very dominant. Freak game. Fleet (a) 0-0. Backs to wall but great point. Then we played Mk, donny and rotherham, with no rotation (injuries etc) and against teams on top of their games. Draws at Bolton and tonight. Yes, games I would have liked us to win, but we were the better team on both occasions. The first 35 v coventry last week was such an improvement on the previous coventry games so that’s a decent yardstick. This Saturday we finally have a home game against a team around us and I fully expect three points and a front foot performance to get this season going again. I’ve put my money down at the bookies at 23/10. If we lose and a poor performance on Saturday, then I’ll take all the stick, but I really can’t see it happening. I’m keeping the faith, and I urge others to do so and give full support to the lads, and to garner. Get the f*ck in therrrreeeee

I feel sorry For Garner. His child is in hospital with obviously something pretty bad and his new job has so far been a complete disaster. However the board of our club have to do what’s right for Bristol Rovers and obviously if results don’t improve over time ( we don’t know how much time) then he’ll be sacked too. Talk about a tough couple of months. As supporters it’s the right thing to keep supporting him and the team and hope they can turn it around. Small crowd again today and not a pretty game of football but there’s no doubt the players are still playing for this manager as best as they can to the style of what he wants. At last a win. Who knows maybe now the monkeys off the back we’ll go on a run. Keep with them

His treatment also of really decent loanees like Roberts and McBurnie from Swansea was odd. Almost like he was too stubborn to accept that the players he'd brought in permanently were replaceable. We got promoted that season gaffney and taylor were superb during the long winning run to promotion. Those players were not the players they have become now they are men. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but i was totally happy with the incredible 2nd promotion. Agree. And of course McBurnie and Roberts were not the players then that they are now. Who were we meant to drop to put McBurnie in, Taylor or Rory? Football doesn’t work like that, during those last months of the season we were playing very well and it would have been stupid to change things just because we had loans from a PL club. I think they were there for possible suspensions, injuries etc. UTG!

One swallow doesn't make a summer.
You shouldn't sack someone after just a few weeks in charge, but equally you can't say that BG has proved himself a good coach after a terrible spell and a lucky win.
People are so impulsive on here.

What part of today’s win was lucky? I thought we were well worthy of the win. Much like a handful of our most recent games, we deserved all of the points & on this occasion, we took them.

We aren't playing too badly, but defensive goofys don't help. The real issue is we aren't an attacking team - we arent set up to be and we dont look like we're going for goal at least not until the 2nd half. Looks too like JCH has been told not to burst thru and let fly. A bit of a mystery.

We've played well recently but the luck had been with the opposition. However, today we were the team who got a bit of luck. Why people are moaning about this I don't know. BG can't win with some fans. He deserved 3 points a few times yet due to bad luck, he didn't get it until today. Yet fans wouldn't accept his bad luck and only concentrated on the result itself. Yet today, we get the right result and the same people then go on about how lucky it was! Bunch of bleeding hypocrites some are on here.
Then you got people moaning about today's performance. Today's performance was still better than the performances under GC. And the type of football BG wants to play, all goes out the window when you have to play in conditions like we played in today.
Some on here are so fickle.

He’s proved himself a good coach over the last decade he’s been in management for 5 minutes the jury is out regarding management but perhaps we can consider ourselves lucky to have a top coach with an experienced mentor in Coppell helping him ? Many league 1 sides would probably be up for that. Let’s see , time will tell.
