Yep, I was looking at going over to Cologne (I think) a few months ago and watching a Dortmund game, but when looking at the ticket prices, it actually put me off.
I went and paid €17.70 from the official ticket site 2 days before the match.
I saw a French Championaat National game about a year ago, nominally the same level (3rd tier) as we are, but yeah not the same level really, but that cost me £6 to get in on the gate, seated, old school bench type seating, but I'd go to a lot more games at that price. No pasties but some damn nice chips, I think 1 euro 50. I guess things have gone beyond the point if no return in this country, it's looking a strange situation the premier League sides are raking it in from the TV etc revenue, but the players in the lower leagues still expect a salary in proportion to their peers higher us the pyramid but the club's can't really afford it, but it's not sustainable, so they rip the fans off to try and claw back as much as they can and minimise their losses. I can't see the club moving on under its current ownership, the stadium won't happen, they want to minimise losses not increase them. I think they went into it not really knowing the costs involved, but now they're stuck with the club until someone with serious money to throw around cones along, problem is they're gonna wanna claw back all the money they've put into the club, which means nobody will ever buy the club as they're asking too much. We could be stuck in a kinda stalemate for years. I'm pretty sure the stadium isn't gonna happen under the Al qadis. Grimsby could afford to fork out for Holloway mind you, being out of work for a fair while must have pushed his price down, still shows they aren't paying BS much again, GC was on the cheap too, come on, Mansfield could outpay us!
