Poised to proclaim our crowd will be higher than City,Stoke or Wolves due entirely to the major attraction we have become.

I don't expect anything but a Sunderland win from this game tbh but you never know, they may underestimate us and we may be able to take advantage of it. Would see a point as a good result.

It is very windy up here so that might a a factor, even if it just means dodging the litter. The design of the bowl at the SOL means that the pitch will have a lot of rubbish, not just the players , blowing around it.

The wind will be a massive advantage to you as we’re not used to it, our super stadium blocks out all the wind as it’s such a massive structure. Still we will have to manage I suppose. 😱

You can always pay on the turnstiles for home sections. I think they also have a cash turnstile for away fans as well. in any case if you have made the trip up you will get in.

We all know your last sentence isn't true because we regularly have 20k locked out at away games....well according to the lot down the road we do !!

If anybody has kids with them and you fancy a drink you can try the Fans Museum it’s just along from the St Peters Metro station, which is better for the ground that the Stadium station. Cheers for the info safc. I didn't know the Fans Museum had a bar. I'm staying the night with my 7 year old and planned on taking him to the museum. I also looked at the Blue Posts, due to the mural of Raich Carter, but it looks a bit out of the way so don't think we'll make it there. Will probably pop in to the Wheatsheaf too.

Been in Sunderland since Thursday night. Beer prices are superb. Looking forward to today’s game. Fancy us to bag the points as there are loads of lads up here. The locals have been great, bit of friendly bants, but all good. Reckon they will be surprised by the amount of support we’ll have in the ground today. Impressive.
