Didn't go today due to work and the fact it's a ruddy long journey but having seen the highlights we were very unlikely with the sending off and the goals were comical given the clash of heads with the second and the deflection for the 3rd. Was the sending off a straight red or was it a 2nd yellow? Also for those who went what was our overall performance like today?

Kicked him And a swipe with his arm off the ball. Stupid thing to do , seen them given a red seen them given a yellow but why give the ref the choice ? If I was Garner I’d be fuming with Abu not the ref.

if you can’t beat 11 men then cheat and try again

There number 7 McGuire I think is a cheat. He got leaned of Aggogo then when he got pushed off he went down like a sack of spuds. We need to give him a good reception at the Mem

if you can’t beat 11 men then cheat and try again He did cheat by going down holding his head the way he did and should have been booked for that. Doesn’t change the fact that Abu was wrong to do what he did and can’t complain about the red. If we appeal that I can’t see it getting overturned.

Watched it back like 10 times and I still don’t see this. perhaps it’s like one of those things on the internet do you see it blue or do you see it yellow - I certainly don’t see no kicking.

Unless people mean the original challenge but again that looks fine to me.

We need to give him a good reception at the Mem That's how I see it, and just posted to that effect on the Match thread. Ogogo had him beaten. The Sunderland player was stumbling and trying to impede Abu, he must learn to be clever like them - go down and win the free kick instead of swinging an arm to shrug the player off (if that is what he did).

Like quite a few of our players at the moment I would say it is headless. It could easily have been a yellow for each, one for stupidity and one for cheating but its one that you can't win an appeal because there was a kick out there. We are not getting the rub of the green at the moment but I wonder how much of this is down to our players seeming to lose their heads when the going gets tough. Its ok us fans losing our head with a referee but its not ideal if the players do!!

I couldn't see anything to warrant a red card in the highlights but the fact Ogogo has apologised to the rest of the players indicates he knows he's made a mistake. Whether or not what he did was bad enough for a sending off is immaterial he gave the ref the opportunity to make the decision and ultimately that's cost us. Personally I think the decision for the 2nd goal is worse, it's blatantly a clash of heads and Leahy was exactly right when he said that had the ball gone sideways instead of straight to Wyke he'd have stopped the game. He bottled that one for sure.

From our angle at the ground he definitely kicked out at him. It should have been a free kick for Abs before that though, and again at the point of coming together. The ref was awful!

Clear kick out for me. Abu puts a string tackle on McGuire who then barges into him to block him off from chasing the ball down and Abu boots him in the legs.
Absolutely ridiculous thing to do and leaves us short in midfield. Let's hope sercs is back soon!

Likewise, I saw no kicking, but what i did see was Ogogo swipe an arm which may or may not have connected. As for our defending, we continue to allow crosses with minimum challenge and for the second week running the final challenge from around the centre of our penalty area has produced no more than half a hearted lunge leading to a goal. Our defending in general looks haphazard so if this is an example of Garner's input, crowds of 4000 are on the horizon.

What the hell. What has the ref seen there? A clear kick taking the legs away. I was sat on the half way line and had a perfect view it was a red no doubt.

Same I have watched it back and forwards stopped it almost done frame by frame and I cannot see anything that warrants a red card. If anything their player clearly impeded Ogogo.
