B.G record is Won 1 Draw 5 lost 10 with less than a 5 % winning ratio. I have NO confidence giving him a budget this summer to keep us in Division one. In fairness he's never managed even at National level and have destroyed a good side after the epic Ipswich win and knocked us out two cups. I am sorry but the club needs to act fast and allow a new manager to have 6-8 weeks to put together a ' retained list'
He seems a nice man very articulate fluent and calm. Sadly: he took a role which is 2-3 years beyond his own progression and now been found out. If we were in a relegation dog fight he would of went a month ago. He joined at the most 'privilege non stressful relaxed time' and still messed it up.
It's sad for B.G but Bristol Rovers future is bigger than any of us !

This is one of the worse runs I have seen in years. Ever since Graham Coughlan left the team has gone into free fall with no sign of stopping. Is a Ben Garner out of his death or is there something else to it? Let’s give it another couple of games and if there no wins, then it will be time for the club to make a big decision! If it wasn’t for that great run before Christmas, by now we would be in a relegation fight. I think we’ve got a lower league 1 , probably relegation squad and Coughlan got them playing in a way that got the best out of every individual player. That’s not hindsight by the way. I said when he took over for those three games that he’d done brilliantly and should be given the job as he was probably our only hope of survival. I said this season when all the pretty football enthusiasts came on here slagging him off that he was doing a brilliant job and should be praised for what he was achieving. He rarely got praise , in fact he got dogs abuse from behind the dugout ,he and his family got abuse in social media , Bristol Rovers supporters have this season gone so far down in my estimations that it doesn’t even feel like my club anymore. Not the club with those supporters that I stood on the terraces at Twerton with and then the Mem through thick and thin, the supporters that stood strong in the conference. What we needed when Coughlan left us was a strong experienced character to hold it all together and bring the leadership that the rest of the top brass haven’t got. That’s why we did so well under GC he was tough and he was a leader when there was nobody at the club to lead. Look at us now - captain Olly Clarke crap captain - manager Garner no leader - wael - gone missing no leadership - Starnes - absolute prick total disrespect and disregard for us as supporters . So where’s the leadership ? There isn’t any.

Not sure what I was the most, Pro Coughlan or anti Garner. What I am is someone totally at a loss as to why Coughlan was unpopular. What else could he have done in his time with us. Came here as a defensive coach and we became more solid at the back. As caretaker we won 3, drew 1 and lost his opening match at Sunderland. As manager led us to safety and a mid table position and then got us up to 4th just before Xmas. Yet still I heard supporters moaning about him and his team. I don’t buy the homesick excuse. I suspect that he realised it was an uphill battle he was never going to win and jumped ship at the first reasonable opportunity. Who can blame him?
