Watola just confirmed no appeal can be lodged! Did he also give any indication as to whether Sainsbury's will now hand over the ££££££££??

Amazingly, this is actually an incredible result. As good as secured at least some money.

It was Willingham that won it for us. His fine speech swayed the audience. He is our secret weapon! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Lol was willingam there was he? Mega lolz. Do you remember his embarrassing temper tantrum last time? Absolute jokery that fellow. A real life belter! How he ever got any votes acting like an over tired toddler is way beyond my tiny mind.

Epic result - hopefully this guarantees us good compo at the very least (enough to clear the club's debts?) but hopefully will mean the stadium is back on!
It'll be interesting to find out whether this does indeed mean Sainsbury's now HAVE to pay up due to fulfillment of the contract.
As someone else said, maybe Sainsbury's were always interested and they just called the council's bluff to get the delivery hours extended as they knew an appeal would lead to them grudgingly accepting?!
Time will tell! (But hopefully very, very, VERY little time).

Hopefully great news but hard to know what to think after all the hurdles and all the unknows.
Still believe we will eventually sell the mem for housing and build a cheaper stadium elsewhere but who knows maybe just for once it will be our time !!!

So the celebrating on their forum is slight OTT?! We've got to celebrate something. BTW ggmi - don't bother going on OTIB. I used to do it and I got all bitter and twisted. Let them say what they want to and we'll go our own way. The obsession continues. Don't think they'd ever get over little old tinpot Rovers having a nice stadium for once.

I have just listened srveral times to the Tony Watola interview on the official forum. He was being very politically correct in what he said but the definite message is that Sainsburys are locked into a contract, all the conditions of the contract have been fufilled by BRFC asnd Sainsburys are legally bound to honour said contract
There wasn't any suggestion that There was going to be a compromise whereby they would be allowed tp pay us a sum in compensation then walk away; Sainsburys will now have to purchase the

Absolute barsteward! March 2015.
In the meantime, Sainsburys will be sitting on an impressive piece of city real estate to do with what they please!
At that point, who cares? As long as the Memorial aspect of the site is preserved they can do what they like with the remainder. I would like to suggest they build a regional distribution centre there, that should give the Radice and Scrafton bitches something to chew on; be careful what you wish for, eh, my loves!

An actual announcement would be lovely now to know where we are actually at! It'll go behind closed doors now, so I don't think we'll hear much until the smoke comes out the chimney.

From somebody who was at the meeting:-
Willingham helped us out. He basically said approval would be tantamount to child cruelty if they lost sleep as a result. The chairman then proceeded to wipe the floor with him. Then one of the ladies on the committee lost her rag with him and said she didn't join the committee to be accused of child cruelty, and as a result said she intended therefore to vote in favour, which she duly did.
Sounds like Cllr Willingham rather shot himself in the foot!

We've got to celebrate something. Yep and once again, we are the talk of the City forum. Talk about obsessed.
