BBC reported now they don't expect this decision to be made today funnily enough, but it's only a matter of time

No point in playing behind closed doors in my view. Scrap the season and hope to start afresh next season if medical advice warrants this action.
Unless its just one or two games football without spectators is pointless.

Looking at the ftse today and see the hargreaves lansdown share price is also in freefall. Sure he uses his dividends each year to pay of the city overdraft. They also may be in a need of belt tightening soon.

The UK is currently in the "containment" phase - the first stage of the government's four-part plan:
Containment Delay Mitigation Research - which runs alongside the other phases
So that basically means that once the containment phase is passed then I guess we will see football effected.... I'm more worried about the nursing homes and the health care system to be honest.

Please also consider alternative detrimental impacts of large gatherings going ahead. I was very disappointed to see that Cheltenham Festive were able to install 24 hand sanitizing stations at a moments notice - and multiple days worth of liquids. Yet here I am on the front line of the NHS and unable to get any further stocks of sanitizers or alcohol gels until end of this month. We are down to the last few bottles. I kid you not. This is a similar story at neighbouring clinics. We must consider the prioritising of resources as well as the social impact now.

On the football/end season issue how would that work? Do they say that’s it - where you are is what will decide where you go I.e. in a relegation place or promotion place. Can’t see that working tbh. Do they just scrap the season altogether- can’t see Liverpool being happy with that etc. Clubs on the fringes of playoffs saying “We wuz robbed guv!” Bolton not getting relegated etc etc. Not sure what is the right thing here tbh.

If it slows spread and help save lives then so be it.
Guess ifollow will be opened for all games and season ticket holders given code?
Just hope ifollow server has the capacity to deal with it. At least it will provide some revenue for clubs.

Almost certainly. The EFL should subsidise the hit or postpone games, not just play them behind closed doors Wouldn't hold your breath on that. Reckon this could even put a few clubs into admin. If this happens I really think we need to consider some kind of crowd funder page just try and cover the losses the club would make from lost revenue. Nobody else is going to help us, we’ll need to do this ourselves.

Cheltenham and the Liverpool match with 3000 attending from a virus hotspot was madness. On your point, absolutely the safety of our healthcare workers must be the priority. For the rest of us soap bars are fine.

Those donating could get a 5% discount on merchandise if ordered online, or something like that? Encourages income into the club still?

More die of flu every day than this. It's just gotten ridiculous. Are they going to stop the buses? The trains? Close Supermarkets? Close cinemas?

Ifollow is a idea that has been suggested. However I wonder how many of the efl fanbase not only do not have ifollow but even the basic skills or access to the internet.

It's the fact that there is no vaccine and nobody has built up an immune system to it that is the problem, hence how it is easy to spread so quick. Italy isn't locked down because it's flu

I'm more worried about the nursing homes and the health care system to be honest. They were saying on the radio this morning saying the government are moving to delay now so expect announcements on closing events/schools/ect shortly. Hopefully some of the 12bn they've put aside for the virus can be used to compensate clubs who are going to be out of pocket
