The season ticket is for people who feel able and wish to provide support for the club regardless of whatever the future holds. It does give the club much needed revenue.

For anyone who didn't see it, this is Liverpool's Chairman Peter Moores statement yesterday: "In the spirit of transparency we must also be clear, despite the fact we were in a healthy position prior to this crisis, our revenues have been shut off yet our outgoings remain. And like almost every sector of society, there is great uncertainty and concern over our present and future. It is an unavoidable truth that several of these scenarios involve a massive downturn in revenue, with correspondingly unprecedented operating losses. Having these vital financial resources so profoundly impacted would obviously negatively affect our ability to operate as we previously have." This is one of the richest clubs in the world, Champions of Europe, being frank about how precarious their finances are, despite all the EPL/Sky/BT money. The implications for the lower league teams is obvious. If you've renewed your season ticket, and if we go into liquidation the way some clubs will probably go, you'll probably be way down the list of creditors. Throwing good money away. Which is why I won't renew until I know there is a club to support. And in this horrific doomsday scenario, Wael would probably hide behind the CV crisis when it is he who has managed to create a £24m (?) debt. Catch 22 situation as if we all sat and waited for next season to start before renewing our season tickets then we might not have a club to support, regardless if you pay by credit card you will be protected if the club do ever go bust. Not sure how the loan agreement works but I'd have thought the loan company would also have difficulties in enforcing loan repayments if there was no club to watch. The £24m(?) debts are Wael's problem to worry about they have nothing really to do with the CV crisis. I just hope the club do the decent thing and extend the period for buying season tickets, given that some fans simply can't afford them at present. I think a lot of people who can commit to a season ticket early will be waiting to see what happens with this season before giving next season any thought.
As for the loan agreement to buy season tickets, the finance company see it as a loan and that's it. It doesn't matter to them what the loan is for or the outcome of how you spend the money.

The club are claiming s/t sales were going well, assuming they aren't telling blatant lies, that contradicts the view a lot people was waiting, regardless if you have a seat in one of the main stands and want to keep it next season you can't simply wait, assuming you can afford it that is.

I can and my mates, if the club want to forget us and carry on and up the price then they ll be a few up for grabs, that's not the priority for us at the moment.
