That’s got a hole in the end of it.....😳
that's for the missus to put her head in. That way I can enjoy it without seeing her...
Blimey....that’s a novel one. 👍 Just off to Bristol Airport to do a bit of bargaining.

I must admit I am surprised at this. The Government and medical/science experts announcement yesterday afternoon was to carry on, taking the precautions they described. It seems to me that a couple of Premier League clubs have an issue and have pressurised the rest of the leagues into a kneejerk reaction at this stage. Of course, something like this might have become Government advice in the future, but not yet. Just as we have a good performance and wanted to carry that on too.... Totally agree, all you here about is posh people, Hollywood A listers, and young Sports players, all who have more money than sense, “self isolating” , doh.

The problem is this country is very namby pamby, and doesn't want to offend anyone. three weeks ago I had a friend fly in to Heathrow from Japan. Was he tested? No. Last Monday my niece flew in from South Africa, again to Heathrow. Was she tested? Again No. The the f**k is the matter with this country? Everyone flying in or coming in on Ferries should be tested. We could have kept the number of victims down to a minimum.

Watching the Government statement yesterday afternoon a couple of things struck me. The two experts calmly explained the strategy (yet the media still want to undermine and panic everyone) and that was to delay and suppress the peak number of cases through the measures they described. The second thing was that as most - the vast majority - will be mildly affected by the virus it is, almost counterintuitively, important that a large number of people do get infected. In that way the population builds up an immunity that would stop the disease being able to infect large swathes of people in the future - a bit like immunisation through vaccination (until a vaccine is produced).

I'm assuming the powers at Cheltenham races and Premier league would be getting guidance from the same people. Cheltenham gets the go ahead with the assumption that people who need to will self isolate and that the virus will be a slow burner. Football should therefore continue in the same remit. However, a player and manager get diagnosed and the games are stopped. Purely to protect their product IMO. First large scale events to get cancelled. First time I've really noticed EFL & Premier league agree. Is it suspect of me to assume lower leagues hand was forced

I suppose we just die off ..I'm over 60 too (just). No - the measures described yesterday were designed to protect the at risk people by not shutting everything down unnecessarily, but to ask people to take personal responsibility to isolate if they have symptoms etc etc. One potential example made was that to shut schools prematurely could involve increased risk to elderly grandparents where they might have to get involved with childcare. Of course anyone with underlying health issues must continue to take the precautions they would normally to avoid this as they would seasonal flu and any other 'nasty' that do the rounds from time to time. If healthy people get, and recover from, the disease then it builds up the population immunity thus reducing the risk of it being an epidemic in future as it doesn't have enough susceptible people to work through.

From a importance point of view f**k football at a time like this.Health is the most important thing to us all.
Im suprised this has happened ahead of closing bars, pubs Cinemias etc...tho, or even places like the Mall and cabot.. Where a far greater number of people mix daily in the country than at football games.
But its about delaying the virus peak so it gets past flu season to help the NHS.
On a football level it could be a positive for us.Gives BG a time to work for 3 weeks or longer on the training ground and when football does start up again fans will be upbeat looking forward to starting again after the sunderland win.
It takes the pressure of BG for the time being if that makes sense.

If the season gets cancelled, Bolton end up surviving in League! Poor Swindon, missing out on being champions and winning promotion. And we mustnt forget South of the river neighbours City, who would miss out on the play off place!

And we mustnt forget South of the river neighbours City, who would miss out on the play off place! How can a season be cancelled? Like just written off as if it never happened.. and be rebooted at the start of 2020/21 season with the same standings as at the start of 2019/2020.. If so does that mean Bury will still be a L1 club?? Im sure if the season is cancelled then it will just end where the tables are today. I doubt will happen and games will remain like normal in a month,or at the very least played behind closed doors with each game avalible on Ifollow... If it gets bad then the Euros will be called off tho.

Interesting BRFC say NO refunds at this point in time - mean while in Ipswich:
Tickets valid for rearranged Rovers and Pompey matches or refund available
Town fans who have purchased match tickets for the games against Bristol Rovers and Portsmouth will be able to use those tickets for the rearranged games.
Blues were scheduled to travel to Rovers at the weekend before hosting Portsmouth at Portman Road on Saturday, March 21 but both matches have been postponed following a decision by the EFL to suspend all football until April 3 over concerns about the Coronavirus.
Those fans who were set to travel on the Club’s official coaches to Bristol can also use their coach ticket for the rearranged fixture.
Supporters who purchased a ticket for the games but can’t attend the rearranged matches will be entitled to a full refund as usual by returning their ticket to the Ticket Office.
Refunds will only be honoured if the ticket is returned prior to the fixture taking place

Stale mince on sky doesnt think the season will finish now. Great if you are sat where Tranmere are, but for the top 3 clubs ?
If the season is void, it will cause a lot of upset.
