Remember standing to the side of the Tote end in what was I believe the cow shed! Remember getting the the Stapleton Road connection train from Templemeads having travelled from Weston with my old man. I was 12 years old, my old man was a baggies fan but must have had a bet on the dogs in the morning and treated me. The smell of tobacco smoke and double diamon beer. The teenagers wearing flairs (that's not smoke bombs but trousers). Men with long hair and bald blokes wearing caps! I could not feel my feet from the snow on the ground. We were robbed that day, Bobby Gould did score that goal. These memories reinforce the love of the GAS. Great memories! plenty of u tube videos of the game around , check out the conditions !would never be played now a days! also check out what was probably the worst commentator around ,red Roger!

Robbed by Ref who did not know offside law, our chance gone now ,prob get thumped in replay! glad game went ahead though! The player (Gould) was offside but the ball bounced off of one of their players so the goal was good. I was gutted that day. Plenty of shenanigans with their lot, after the game

I remember a few punks walking down the Stapleton Road, those zips in trousers (bondage trousers), safety pins in their jackets!
