Seeming as quite a few were moaning that they won’t renew season tickets until they’ve heard from Wael, I can only assume they’re renewing them right now.

Or a cynical once a year load of old bollocks just in time for season ticket sales. Harsh mr Hugo ! I thought it was a great open letter but agreed if he goes into hiding for another year it’ll be back to square one. It’s a good start though and should be taken at face value and applauded

Well I suppose you could either be cynical and think the worst or think he’s recognised that the fans will be worried and he’s done his best to reassure us. Being a rose-tinter (before others say it) I’ll take the positive view. As we know he can talk a good game so let’s hope he can keep it up, continue to communicate and get a few good results over the next few months. He will be criticised if he does communicate and he will be criticised if he doesn’t but to an extent he’s brought this criticism on himself. I wonder how long or how difficult it was to compose that letter, not too arduous I would suggest. Yet I would imagine it will be appreciated. A bit of a no-brainier really. UTG!

Seems fair enough to me, like the bit about investment in youth bearing fruit in the next couple of years!

Until you follow the link to the pies flimmin hell £3.50 each, and thats not the inflated matchday price, we were playing a few young uns a while back under dc ,they arnt playing now for some odd reason, surely those who did well should still be in contention for a 1st team place

Words to pacify a terrace supporter but to scare a shareholder sh*tless.

I will file this under other reassuring statements such as “This ship is unsinkable”, “Relegation to the conference is not an option” and “The landing lights are on”. At least Starnes now has a clear job description of bolting the stable door and watching the horse disappear over the hill.

I thought it was a very good letter especially in the circumstances.

I thought it was a very good letter especially in the circumstances. I completely agree. Heartfelt regarding the loss of his father, prompt after the release of the accounts, and acknowledging the need for better communication. I have been a reasonably vocal critic of the Al-Qadis and particularly their lack of communication in the last couple of years, but this letter is a very good step in the right direction. Well done Wael.

Yes halifax, I suppose that means selling Alfie Kilgour! 😀 UTG! I'm sure that's exactly what he means. We've always been a selling club, and until the situation with the new ground and training ground are sorted out, we will always be one. I thought it was reassuring that the current owners will support us through this crisis, as there will be clubs around the country who won't survive this mess.

We asked for more communication, we got more communication and it was a very well written letter at that. Actions speak louder than words at this point, sure, but this is the best we could of asked for given the circumstances.
