Indeed, and I'd also say that even if we do eventually get a new stadium, we'll still be a selling club, just like every other club in the world aside from a select few (Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern etc). The difference will be how much we can demand for our players when we sell. We were never going to get a new stadium. And with all the sh** going on it means we are going to never get a new stadium even more. If that makes sense. I never thought we would in all honesty. It was a big "if" in my post!

An ex-Rovers director seems to be substantiating that rumour on the other forum, if it's true then did they jump ship after 24 hours or were they pushed? Have you got a link to that Topper? I can't find it on the other forum. Don't know how to add a link but it starts on page 3 of the FC Accounts thread.

What, who? Don't remember him? how much did we sell him for? I was the same Halifax but I do know something, not as much as KWP. I don’t know if that is a song title or not. She is a very talented singer from Leeds whose debut album went to No.1 and her second did very well as well, No 1 or 2. I’ve never heard her music but I listened to a programme on Radio 4 last Autumn when she was doing a half hour travelogue around Leeds and the important places in her growing up. It was a good listen. Clearly an articulate young lady who is very grounded after a tragic event in her life (her first husband dying). UTG! The words used the more things seem to change, the more they stay the same are from a popular track her hers. Girl put your records on.

Wrong forum! I don't feel comfortable posting links to the other forum TBH but it was posted on one of the recent threads. Surprised the ITK'ers haven't mentioned it, unless they aren't as ITK as they like to think they are.

I see the ex DIrector has now suggested it was two local businessmen.

Hard to not agree with what is being said.
If Wael is to sell the club, he is going to have to accept nobody is going to buy the club with it current debt, accept his losses.

Exactly i can't for the life of me figure out if they were actually appointed and then removed ,in which case surely they would appear on companies house, or if they were going to be appointed and then either jumped or were pushed. Only time will tell

This has now been added to the thread from Sam Frost
"Do you know anything about the rumours of two leading Bristol businessmen being proposed as appointments to the board very recently, and then having the proposals pulled the very next day Sam?
Sam's reply:
Great question, Tom, and we understand at least half of that is correct in terms of there were individuals proposed to join Wael Al-Qadi and Martyn Starnes on the board.
We’re not sure how far down the line that got, but they’re no longer under consideration."
Interesting it was apparently two "leading" Bristol businessmen not just any old Bristol businessmen!
I wonder how this news leaked?

If you’re worried about people jumping ship reading a single page will make them reconsider.

No offence guys but I love these deja vu board bashing threads. 20 yrs or more on the forums , every season it’s a call for how the owners have gotta go and how incompetent they are . Round and round in circles we go ad nauseam and nothing really changes.

My Dad won the District Darts Championship there in 1952, he and my Uncle were members of the "Pippins" Crib team and I played skittles there in the 1970's. I was also introduced to my first wife whilst caught in a somewhat susceptible position in the bar one night so perhaps, on reflection, to protect other vulnerable young yokels it's probably not a bad thing they've turned it into houses
