Possibly more like Oxford, with the stadium and club two separate arms of the same parent company (training ground a third perhaps) as part of a separation of assets. The issue under that model would be further down the line if any part of that suite are sold independently. Oxford's ground is still owned by Kassam all the suggestions are the FM stadium developers want to buy the club from Wael, I can't see why anybody would spend £30m+ building a stadium for just a 25 year lease, what are they going to do with it after 25 years, they can hardly just knock it down and build offices/flats or lease it to another local sports club? That was the point I was trying to make, whilst everything is in house there won't be an issue. The problem arises if there is a separation of ownership as there is at Oxford which could happen within that 25 year timeframe. After which the stadium owners can ask for different terms. Bit like Eastville too I guess. Anyway, pure speculation and I would hope for inbuilt safeguards at the various stages.

Would they rather see the club collapse into the non league again so they have a chance of buying it for the 80k they have stashed in the bank? Yes.

How long is it we've been trying to get a site is it 30years? The fruit market, location wise, seems the best of the lot to me. Just hope we get a good deal.

I thought they were tenants from day 1 rather than owned by any stadium co-owners.

I said something similar a while back. There's no way Wael isn't involved in this, if it is or was actually true. The mythical investors would need to have him on board from the outset. The deal is there I heard. The Fruit Market purchase has gone through I am told and the owners want BRFC on site. I heard it t would be done by now but for someone opening their mouths before the deal was completed, which cost the buyers an extra £5million. I heard only one person is standing in the way of closing the deal. Very interesting Oldie. So who is the person who opened their mouth at a cost of £5m? Who is the one person standing in the way of the deal?

Were Coventry part of the original set up? I thought they were tenants from day 1 rather than owned by any stadium co-owners. Pretty sure they are suing the council for alleging stitching them up with the deal to sell the Ricoh Arena to Wasps, the problem is if we spend forever looking for problems with any potential deal then we'll never move forward. Although I've no idea where the 25 years info came from anyway.

Look no further than Waels interview with Twentyman before the Blackpool game in August Which came after several on here couldn't wait to have spilled hints and tell us how close we were to getting our club back. If Wael scuppered the FM deal to keep certain people out of the club then good on him.

Look no further than Waels interview with Twentyman before the Blackpool game in August The FM stadium is going to have to be built at a mighty pace to meet Wael's target date of 2 years from that Blackpool interview - He had a dream, a fantasy, to help him cope reality.

It would be interesting to know when the FM rumours on here started, didn't Knowall say "good news in October" to start the ball rolling in, perhaps people blaming Wael now need to look a bit closer to home?

Far more likely he allegedly did it to keep hold of his football dream. All ifs still though!

That's not for me to say on a public forum, especially as I dont think the deal is dead in the water, so if correct, the less public ripples the better. Can I say I have no concrete evidence for my assertions, well how could I. Just to say persons spoken to are not prone to gossip and laugh at my participation on forums. Personally I am hoping this is deadly accurate as we hurtle to the cross over point where the developed value of the Mem is less than the outstanding debt. Because if not, I dread to think of the consequences.
