With financial uncertainty around the corner I've decided to put the shed/man cave on the back burner this year and I'm using the space I had to grow veg.
I have peas, runners, broad beans, cabbage and cauliflower coming on in the greenhouse and I have carrots, sprouts, potatoes, onions, raspberries, strawberries and rhubarb already planted out in the garden.
Anyone else making good use of their time and garden?

Me and the GF have a allotment down by the cabbage-patch, we've had it for a few years now. Haven't bought any veg for ages.
Got everything growing down.

We have a fair bit down there, Spuds, peas, carrots, lettuces, cabbages, onions, beetroot's, cauliflowers. My GF has all her plants & flowers down there too.
It's also very therapeutic, we have a shed down there with tables & chairs, with the weather forecast being good for the weekend I'll be down there with a few beers getting a tan.
I take the dog down there when the weather is good too, she has her own doggy bed down there!!

This year I'm growing tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, carrots, beetroot, onions, radishes, runner beans, lettuce. Mostly seedlings at mo waiting to be planted out. I don't grow potatoes any more. Not since the potato blight passed over to my tomatoes and turned the lot to black rotting sh**. Can't grow cauli and cabbage cos you really need to plant them 12 inches apart and I don't have the space. My apple and pear trees won't bear fruit for a few months yet.

I`m going to clean the patio with the pressure washer. Once I`ve built the patio. And bought a pressure washer.

Haven't been able to get any seeds this year and compost is mainly out of stock or pickup, so will ride this one out, I have some large bags so if a few spuds sprout then i can grow a few spuds.
I have a petrol rotavator with a small plough attachment for sale if anyones interested.

As long as the roots are not severed, all will be well, and all will be well in the garden.

Sprouts and carrots have now started shooting so that's positive!
One of my onions is also now starting to grow.
Most of the strawberry plants I bought off Ebay are also looking good too now.
