Tory vice chair Afolami also resigns Not long watched that on a replay. I think he surprised himself. It was refreshing to see a politician being honest and answering a straight question.

Yes, Sunak also now gone. Boris will not last the evening. Ordinarily I would agree, but this is Boris. Fingers crossed. It is looking increasingly like you are right. The man with no shame will just keep on going until he is physically forced out of the door.

Zahawi is chancellor then
Seems few rumours around that Truss wanted it, but Zahawi threatened to quit if he didnt get it.
Barclay to Health

PMQs tomorrow and I think Boris is in front of the Liason Committee too.
Would anyone risk a high profile resignation just beforehand? 🧐

How many times will Johnson say tomorrow, “the public want me to get on with the job”?

Does he have a week left? Mind you , he'll still be in charge until a new leader is announced - probably 2-3 months.

I see Will Quince who was sent out to the media on Monday has resigned as a children's minister this morning
I did wonder whether he would go after being sent out as the sacrificial junior minister to 'trot the line'. Made to look a complete idiot, so staying would have been something

Pretty strong stuff from Sajid Javid
"Not doing something is a decision" seemingly aimed at those remaining in Cabinet

Johnson seems to think that this all jolly good fun.
Some of the worse attacks came from his own party during PMQs.

Few more resignations now, taking it to 21 all within 24 hours. Apparently the previous record was 3 in 24 hours back in 1930.
