Morning all. Should have said before my last post I'm in a better frame of mind. Tough 3 weeks, which I won't go into detail about as to some it may seem trivial, but it wasn't to me. Anyway hope your all well. Go away Boris! Better. Getting there Baggins.

As a welcome back present FG, when it came out about Corbyn and antisemitism earlier this year, post election, I remember you saying 'and you voted for this'. I welcome your comments on the following topics that have come up in your absence: - Islamophobia report in the Tory party: Independent report www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-57239483- Boris' apartment refurb scandal - Boris' comments of 'let the bodies pile high' With Cummings due to speak to MPs next week, sh*t is about to hit the fan again. Btw - you voted for this

Btw - you voted for this Hi Gassy Can't recall using those words (Then again my memory is not what it used to be), sounds like something Oldgas would have used. However if I did so be it. Haven't read the entire report into Islamaphobia in the Tory party, but what I would say is racism in any form is abhorrent to any right minded person. There is no place for racism in any political party and that includes the Tory Party and the Labour Party. I see it as a good thing that this has been investigated so quickly with an independent report. In respect of his "Flat Refurbishment" my god we're in a pandemic with 127,000+ deaths in the country and people seem more concerned about how the refurbishment was initially funded. Are there not more important things to be worried about at this time. Did "Sir" Kier Starmer take it seriously when he did a photo shoot in the wallpaper department of a John Lewis store. I would also add that I don't think the majority of the country, especially those in Hartlepool 🙂🙂, are not particularly concerned either. Has it actually been proven that Boris used those words? I don't know. If he did then were they meant in the manner it comes across ? I don't know. If he did and meant in that manner then of course that is absolutely disgusting and a grovelling apology should be made. Overall I would say after the by election result in Hartlepool 🙂🙂 and the local election results 🙂🙂 the majority of the country is still firmly behind Boris.

I had a sneaky feeling you’d have no problems with the prime minister taking dodgy loans from a rich donor to pay for his £100 a square meter wallpaper! 😂

Tbf, the post is very much OldGas territory: What do all you socialists think about Corbyn being suspended from the Labour Party? And to think you wanted him as PM !!! I agree on your point on racism, but where should the buck stop? Surely it's the leader of the party? Corbyn was suspended and will not return as a Labour MP - and that was for negligence. Boris himself made some of the remarks and actively contributed towards it. So what should happen to him? There are lots of things to worry about, does it not concern you that the PM potentially embezzled funds illegally? Now theres the potential that he's done the same for a holiday. That's corruption, ok on the lower end of corruption, but corruption nonetheless. Shouldn't we all be concerned? On the words, no it hasn't been proven. The only realistic way is if it was recorded or someone confirms it under oath and depending on how tomorrow goes, it could bring this story right back to the top of the surface. There is only really one way anyone can say they'd rather let the bodies pile up in their thousands, let's be honest. I'm not sure an apology quite cuts it, if he did say it. But you're right, it seems like so far the UK stands behind Boris - I think the vaccine rollout has helped a lot there. If Labour can get their act together though, that'll drop substantially. But knowing Labour of recent, thats a huge if. Glad to have you back 👍

Cummings speaks tomorrow doesn’t he ? Oh could be, thought it was next week. Might give it a watch if I get the chance I think he's being questioned by MP's at 9.30 this morning, for approx. 4 hours. I'm not sure where or whether you can even watch it live. ***Edit. I think it's being covered on SKY News***

He forgets he was very much part of the decision process and at the centre of power, bit like Rudolf Hess claiming innocence. I am sure there will be the usaul media frenzy,Boris said this Boris said that,no context ,no evidence just one man's version of events with no corroboration, waste of time.

Cummings machine gunning everybody
He is complicit and it all has an air of jilted ex-over about it.
All interesting though and will perhaps be better received when there is more evidence and context to the Covid response

Doesn’t matter what truth bombs he drops because none of it will land with the Tory voters or the Brexit supporting loons. But it is great fun watching / reading /. Listening to them contort themselves in so many ways trying to deflect 😃
Go Boris !

Sadly true. I've only caught the opening bit, seems Hancock is in his sights. He is absolutely slaughtering Hancock That's a turn around seeing how many Hancock has slaughtered the past year. Boris has run the largest Tory slaughter since... oh, Cameron & austerity?
