The funniest thing is that nobody "hounded" anyone. There is debate, a point made and as part of that there may well be a call for evidence to substantiate a point. All very normal stuff. But its that request that appears to upset some. Far from being hounded, most appear to change their user name and hop over to the other forum and in what the moderator there described as an echo chamber, expose what appears to be an inferiority complex tell each other they are right, without actually dissecting any topic.
Its funny and sad all at the same time.

When someone new posted a comment not that long ago that was contrary to the views of the regulars a rallying call of “looks like we’ve got another one lads” immediately went out. Yet you guys still think no hounding goes on and that this is a welcoming place to come and express your views and join in a debate? I think you will find it remains a closed shop and nobody will ever bother engaging. I think there is too much arrogance among the usual suspects to ever take a step back and pause to consider how intolerant you are of other peoples views and their rights to express them. The same attitude exists among the left generally where there is no willingness to listen to anyone who doesn’t share their beliefs and think throwing insults is the right response - a blinkered ‘we are always right’ mentality which will ensure conservative remain in power for many many years.

Hello Eric Glad you replied. I dont recall the new poster you refer to, unless you are referring to Oldgas reappearing with a new user name and applying his scatter gun wind up posts. He carries on over on the other forum under another user name (Towngas) continuing the name calling without any real reference to any topic. The rest is your opinion, which you are obviously entitled to, but its just that. You cannot, for example, know which mainstream political party anyone of us might vote for (if any) so the label you apply is just lazy and cannot be substantiated. Its a pity that you dont see any of this.

That poster was banned a few days later for throwing round insults and veiled threats . Those ‘types’ are quite easy to spot . I’ve no problem if you or anyone else from the right want to argue your case .

Oh the irony gets better and better.
The poor innocent right wing posters who:
- Goad their opinions as being more important/superior - Write off anything bad happening because hey the majority of the country don't think its a problem therefore it can't be a problem (Yeah like Hitler's reign was actually ok actually because people voted for it) - All became abusive or threatening, apart from FranceGas - Refuse to look at statistics and evidence to form an argument and anyone who does is rubbished - Claim anyone who disagrees with them is bullying/picking on them
Classic victim playing yet again from the usual.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-57280418Haha what a ridiculous internal report. Found that because Boris didn’t bother to look into who paid for the refurbishment, he’s therefore innocent and only guilty of not paying attention. Isn’t it funny how all the Tory lead reports manage to come out ok, but the independent ones don’t? I though Boris said he paid for it all himself? That’s obviously a lie and he’s lied to parliament surely?

They kept ignoring the question of who paid originally. So he hasnt lied unless he hasnt actually paid As for this report. Man appointed by Prime Minister clears Prime Minister

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-57272252Well will you look at that.. Lord Geidt, the PMs adviser, who cleared Boris of any wrong doing has admitted that Hancock had a "minor technical breach of the ministerial code" but said the health secretary had acted promptly to correct the record. Lord Geidt's report found that Mr Hancock had properly declared a financial interest when he took a 20% stake in the company but had not declared the link with his sister prior to that, when the firm had been awarded a place on a list of NHS suppliers. But Lord Geidt concluded that Mr Hancock's "earlier failure to declare the interest was as a result of his lack of knowledge and in no way deliberate, and therefore, in technical terms, a minor breach of the ministerial code". The PM said Mr Hancock's good name had not been damaged by the incident. And he would not be taking "any further action" in relation to the matter, he added. ----- It is honestly embarrassing, despite breaking ministerial code (in which you must resign) Hancock is ok because he only did it a little bit and good old Boris doesn't think his good name has been damaged.

The thing is, that he claimed he did not know what was going on, is entirely believable.
So he he orders a six figure cost of refurbishment but cares less how it is paid for and by whom.
The arrogant, entitled, pratt.
But we knew that
