If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal. Or as Professor Carroll Quigley wrote about American politics which is relevant here, "the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can throw the rascals out at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. Then it should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party which will be none of these things but will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies." Qhat would you like to happen pirate? Got any ideas? Weren't you a supporter of Trump?

Yea that's jibberish. Sorry.

Certainly not a supporter of Trump. Then what? I don't have any political allegiances. Less of the current tyrannical approach would be nice.

Ffs I should have made it clear, I wasn't endorsing that view, but rather highlighting that is basically what we have on offer now.

Ffs I should have made it clear, I wasn't endorsing that view, but rather highlighting that is basically what we have on offer now. Well exactly. You are continuously posting up stuff such as that which is just trash. You express no real opinion on it, just leave a whole trail of nonsense without context nor clarification. It's a pity really, I sense you would make an excellent contributor to some of the discussions on here, but you just do not, contribute.

Not something that will get many interested or clamouring for heads to roll, but this could well become quite an embarrassment for the government. Back in 2014 David Cameron signed off on a new vehicle for the army. The contractor is planning on building the first 100 in Spain at the main factory and then move production to South Wales (i.e. jobs). Problem is that the vehicles appear to not be up to standard and are possibly more dangerous to the crew than any potentialadversaries. This isn't really new news, yet in the review earlier this year, the government and MOD decided to press ahead with this vehicle contract and cancel another which was equally troubled but had rectified its problems. Now the government has to decide whether to continue hoping the 'teething troubles' can be sorted, risk buying a liability or scrapping the whole expensive programme. www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/uk-57348573.amp

Shameful, especially in light of events. Very odd that they are asking ...how could the MoD get it so wrong? The same MoD that invaded Iraq and Afghanistan and killed 100,000s of thousands.

No argument from me about MOD incompetence, although this sort of decision would have been cross departmental including the Home Office. Hopefully this decision will be reversed and quickly.
