Nearly 10% of the country is waiting for routine surgery, according to the BBC.
Awful.

Unpossible, Nobby promised this wouldn't happen and that standards would be maintained. Also the migrant issue would be okay. Looks like the Home Secretary is shoring up her position ahead of a reshuffle with threats to migrants and France.

I like the line 'Need to raise money for the NHS? Let's tax nurses.'

Not the first time, iirc. "Labour has called for a probe into reports the home secretary met two airlines and the boss of a hotel chain without any officials present. The Sunday Mirror said Covid travel rules were among topics at a lunch attended by Priti Patel last month. Ministerial rules say officials should be present or informed if government business is discussed. Ms Patel has denied breaking the rules - but Labour says she has "questions to answer". It is understood that she told her private office about the lunch, which reportedly took place on 11 August, after it had happened. The newspaper also said the meeting at a Heathrow airport hotel was attended by Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng, the MP for a nearby constituency." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-58536126

I guess theyâve only got a chance of winning whilst the Tory party are in charge and more so a Tory party led by Johnson đ€Ą.

I guess theyâve only got a chance of winning whilst the Tory party are in charge and more so a Tory party led by Johnson đ€Ą. I read that they want it by the end of 2023, which is likely to be about 6 months from the GE. That said, Boris (assuming he's still in charge) will probably want the GE around then too. The SNP have reportedly said before that pro independence polling needs to be consistently around 60% to feel confident. Not there yet.

I listened to her this morning on R4. Her lack of understanding of marginal tax rates was laid bare. It's embarrassing, having such dim witted Dam idiots in Parliament representing us.
