Conference season approaching, looks like the Lib Dems are moving back to the centre ground hoping to be an alternative to the Conservatives rather than Labour. Some unofficial LibLab pact could be a smart move, let Labour target city centres and the North, while Lib Dems target the more 'Tory' areas. " "Vote for us, we're not the Conservatives" might be over-simplifying the Lib Dems position, but perhaps not by much. There is a belief all-round in the party that attracting disaffected tory supporters or "soft-con switchers" to use one strategist's jargon is their best hope at the next election, whenever it comes. The conference will provide a forum serious policy discussions on topics from gay conversion therapy to global corporation tax. But the party, badly wounded by such a devastating result at the 2019 general election, is at least allowing itself an opportunity to celebrate its recent success." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-58601889

Lots of filling stations are affected, hearing Asda in Keynsham is getting overwhelmed, my nearby Tescos has closed and the Sainsbury in Stoke Gifford very busy with few pumps available.
Saw one taxi driver fill up 5 jerrycans!!

So they triple the fees, then complain that student loans are too expensive so will charge graduates even more. Honestly it’s just depressing at this point.

Cripes, the middle classes are scary when they're angry aren't they. Oh boy do people love to aimlessly moan about the tories online - but that's as far as they'll go, pathetic really.

Boris due to select the next head of the Armed Forces this week. Four candidates, three decent picks and an Old Etonian.
I wonder which he'll choose. 🧐

I see the Blairs have been at it again with their dodgy property dealings. This time avoiding stamp duty of £300k+ on the purchase of a property. Not for the first time eh?

Could probably count all of the honest UK politicians ever, on one hand. Not sure I could name that many world wide. Depends on your definition of honesty ha. Boris is probably somewhat honest as he openly hates the poor, anyone with morals or that gets in the way of his money... It's his selling point and why Tories love him. But overall politics is a game of controlling weak, isn't it.
