Anyone any ideas when the fixtures will be announced or when the start date for the new season is Think they are deciding when it's going to start soon. Won't get the fixtures for ages though. Won't even know all the teams for a while and then they need to make sure certain clubs fixtures don't clash etc.

Will fixture clashes matter next season with no crowds?

Seeing as I live in Leicester, the fixture list is irrelevant to me for the foreseeable future!

Will fixture clashes matter next season with no crowds? You would hope that there will be crowds at some stage. So they will need to plan for crowds just in case IMO

Cases will start to rise again in September and accelerate through October and November, can't see the Government allowing crowds back until way into 2021

Are you a bit dense if you think the fixture list will be announced soon That's a bit harsh! I assume they'll be announced soon after the play-offs have been decided. Might be a chance for more television coverage for Leagues One and Two if we start before the Prem and Championship?

Can't see crowds returning before Jan 2021 myself as really requires complete end of social distancing. But I am sure broadcasters will be a key factor in determining this if the behind closed doors route is seen as a relative success. They are really short of content they need for their own survival / to generate ad revenue, so imagine will be looking closely at how well TV audiences hold up in absence of crowds and how well PPV etc work. Probably a bit too soon to call still but don't be surprised if PL restarts (where the TV money is) in Autumn, but EFL is much delayed

Cases will start to rise again in September and accelerate through October and November, can't see the Government allowing crowds back until way into 2021 They probally will rise at some stage, but people have been saying that all the time. Exercising more than once a day = 2nd wave, school's open = 2nd wave etc. The fa can't just assume no fans will be allowed in for the season. Even if it's January, February, match March of next year that fans are allowed back they have to allow for it. Plus look at people breaking the rules already. If certain teams were home at the same time all the time, you can guarantee some fans will come out looking for trouble, even if they can't attend the games.

Or we will start without them 😂.

The EFL were meeting this week and hoped to annouce a start date of the 5 or 12 Sept, I assume for that to be realistic next season's fixtures would have to be announced in late July/early August?

I assumed they were on about the League 1 play offs, as people were saying we should hear soon. Championship is going on after the League 1 play offs, that was my point. We can't do fixtures, until they have finished. Championship clubs that go down, will need a break. So we can't start much before the championship, if at all. Which is what they were implying, by saying we can get TV coverage if we start after the play offs.
