I once lost the dressing room. Found it the next day in the East wing. Can't believe I'd been so silly as to mix it up with the changing room.
And don't get me started on the time I lost the bathroom. That was not a happy evening.

No he didnt. He said TC said some players didnt do their best for BG. He did Hugo. In reply to my post he said "BG totally lost the changing room when he probably made it clear TC, OS, THD, Nichols & Sercs had no futures at Rovers". Ah apologies. Thanks

How about a guy called Alex Ferguson? He did okay as I recall, after a rocky start... 😉 Yes he was saved by Lee Martin in the 1990 Cup Final who later played for the Gas I thought it was a late Mark Robins goal against Nottingham Forest that saved his bacon. Lee Martin was a big disappointment when he played for the Gas

Chewbacca stats are right,to turn the results around now would be like raising the Titanic,we would stand a better chance if he swapped jobs with Chris Hargreaves at the academy. Our last two managers were like dogs, bite your legs off if challenged by the owner, this one would lick you like a dog and beg for a biscuit, that why he got the job.

But the last 2 managers ultimately failed, at least BG has somehow convinced Wael to spend £2m+ on the training ground, or just got lucky with his timing. It also looks like Wael might well back him this summer, perhaps the softly, softly approach will pay off and BG will surprise us. What he really needs his a decent experienced Assistant Manager, particularly if Maher gets the Southend job.

How on earth did either DC or GC ultimately fail here? 😂😂 What a freaking odd thing to say!😨 DC won us two promotions and left us a level higher than when he took over (I could argue 2 levels higher as it was that clown Ward fault we dropped out of the league not DC) DC also gave us two promotions and played some outstanding attacking football, best football since Holloway was here.DC is our clubs greatest and most important manager in our history. GC was here for 1 year and took us from being in the bottom 4 of L1 to being in the top four less than a year later. I wasn't his biggest fan but how GC could be classed ultimately failing either is beyond I...

That doesn't make sense either as regardless of whether a manager asks for better facilities, it's not their job to "fail" in as its completely beyond their scope.

Fair enough if that's what Topper meant in regards to facilities then I understand and agree.

You’ve no idea about the relationship between WAQ and BG, just like the rest of us. I suggest if it was as you’ve imagined WAQ would not have put so much money into the club and kept him as manager, he’d have sacked him. Wael would not have a manager he didn’t respect with so much of his own money riding on it. i really shouldn’t have bitten by answering the wind-up but blimey, I did. UTG!

I wasn't his biggest fan but how GC could be classed ultimately failing either is beyond I... DC got us relegated to the Conference, by his own admission he changed the pattern of play in those last 8 games putting Rovers from above relegation and into it. Great manager at Conference and L2 level. He lost it in L1. Left a frustrated angry man with some unnecessary comments about Rovers who gave him his first manger role in the EFL. In the Conference Rovers were the Giants amongst the minnows and thus not to have achieved promotion would have been a total failure IMO, Hasn't had the best of starts at Walsall. DC L1 stats to date doesn't exactly show he failed but he certainly has yet to be a winner. GC was thrown in at the depth end when appointed to halt the slide created by DC, GC had to go defensive to prevent relegation. Great spirit to see the physical side of the team but lacked style and attacking football. IMO the success of rising to the top in the division surprised even GC. Reported he had personal problems so was always going to leave whatever happened. This rise to the top timed very well for him in getting a mangers role in a location that suited him. Success certainly was his preventing relegation but IMO not sustainable in the long term playing unattractive defensive football with falling crowds the inevitable result. Another frustrated manager who left with unnecessary comments about Rovers. IMO Wael would not support his style of football for long Every football manager either in the past, current or in the future will blame the Club Board of Directors for not backing them rather than their own actions and ability. Most managers are sacked or resign rather than get a CV with relegation on it. DC was "lucky" to get a second chance and he took it with both hands, but still left stating he wasn't backed by the Board. I thank both DC and GC for their efforts (and the players including Bennet, Nichols etc) and now move onto BG with eternal hope for the future UTG
