Well the pubs opening wasnβt the disaster that some expected. It seems over 30% didnβt even bother opening and those that did were fairly quiet. Whilst the social distancing stays in place I donβt see how pubs will remain viable, many were struggling before Covid and operating at half capacity for a prolonged period will surely see many close permanently.

Stupid decision to open on a Saturday. Should have been a Monday where there wouldn't be a mad rush to binge drink. Boris and his advisors 'guidance' has been so vague that when the 2nd wave comes he can easily push blame onto the public. Dont agree this has been going on long enough for us all to know the rules around social distancing and personal hygiene, if it's too busy you don't go in .We ask to be treated like adults but then cry out to be told what to do,we need to take personal responsibility for our own decisions rather than blaming someone else.

You think folk are going to worry about or even remember social distancing when intoxicated? I struggle to maintain a 1 metre distance from other people sober in a supermarket let alone a busy pub on 'super saturday' May as well let us into football stadiums now.

Pubs aren't supposed to be "busy". There are number restrictions, and not everyone wants to get intoxicated, rather, just enjoy being there with a drink or two.

I walked past the 3 Lions at half five yesterday evening, a few drunken as*holes all over the pavement outside. I went to a friends house and drank too much "London Pride", feeling it today though

Family opened up the king William yesterday and everybody behaved really well , observed all the new rules that were in place and left at kicking out time (10.00pm) with no issues whatsoever. So far today also no problems at all.

You should pop in some time , they have done a great renovation job on the place. At the end of January this year they were actually starting to turn over a bit of profit due to how well the Christmas and New Years trade went. Historically the pub has never made too much money due to various reasons but my mum , dad and two brothers have put in a hell of a lot of work to get it this far. The Coronavirus knocked it for six and now itβs back to square one again.

The food is very good ( I have to say that as my mum is the chef π) All joking aside , itβs great. They are looking to start meals again in the next couple of weeks , so itβs well worth a try. Got a decent selection of beers , lagers and ciders along with a good choice of spirits. We just have to see how it goes with the βnew normalβ for a while. Feel free to pop in anytime
