Wael must really be putting some decent funding into the club.

Thanks Alfie, means we should get good money for him when the inevitable happens and he graduates to the top table, that's not pessimistic ,just the way of things, hope we get at least a couple of great seasons from him.

Agreed. Brilliant news and let’s be honest, if we want Rovers to become more sustainable as a club (which I’m sure we all do) then we should all WANT to see us bring through, develop & sell-on homegrown talents like Alfie. If we can get another year or two out of Alfie & then sell him for £1m+ I’ll be chuffed.

Maybe a vote of confidence in Garner from key parts of the squad.

Even better if Alfie becomes part of a promotion winning squad that establishes itself in the Championship and Rovers turn down an enquiry for him from a Prem team and he signs a contract extension, along with 5 other blossoming talents. Time for my medication now nurse.

Fantastic news, been impressed by him this season, I think Alfie will go far in the game and become a valuable asset for us in the future so it's very positive that Rovers have managed to extend his deal.
It means the club will avoid a Lockyer scenario when he does eventually leave us to go onto bigger things and that hopefully we will see him in the quarters for a few more seasons to come.
It's one piece of good news after another at the club at the moment. Looking forward to the new season.

Already a solid performer and when he cuts out some of the sloppy mistakes (which will come with experience) he's captain material for sure. After Clarke's comments in his Mansfield interview about how the squad has changed recently, I'd love some home grown continuity in the starting XI over the next few seasons and Kilgour will be a big part of that.

Brilliant news! Love Alfie, proper Gashead and its great to have him with us for a little longer, and/or get a decent fee for him when he moves on.

Just a little balance, at the end of Alfie's contract, he will be just 6 months older than Tom was at the end of his contract. However, we are in the driving seat for now.
