They would welcome any fans donations which would be put to use in part funding the Academy and the training ground. veery unlikley that they would issue new shares to teh Supporters club.
They seemed commited to introducing a Supporters Representative onto the board of BRFC

There seemed to be a commitment that the Club was sustainable (even in pandemic lockdown) until 2022 However they also reported that there is a suggestion from EFL that the 2020/21 season could commence on 12th September with limited attendances 12th is virtually certain, latest suggesting is the 1st round of the Caraboa Cup will take place on the 5th, during the international break weekend, to start the season.

Only 57 participants including 5 from the club and at least 2 local sports reporters, everybody wanted a Fans Forum then hardly anybody is bothered to take the effort to attend one! Hold it outside working hours if they want more to participate. And allow questions on the fly and people to attend at will.

What difference does it make how the questions are asked, there's got to be some control just in case you get a random person asking a stupid question or insulting the board etc.

Allowing questions and letting everyone attend would result in a complete shambles.. Even having 50 on a zoom call takes some organising.. Anyone who wanted to involved today had plenty of opportunity it was all explained on the web site.

But it means that they can choose to ignore questions more easily that they don’t wish to answer - which I can see the arguments for both ways. Thing is, I may hear what they have to say in response to another question and I may have a question in response. It’s more dynamic. There’s nothing worth asking which isn’t blatant (when are we getting a new stadium) but I may have wanted to ask something off the cuff of someone else’s questions. When we have workplace meetings we use a web page which I cannot remember the name of which allows people to ask questions and for them to be voted on by others so the most liked goes to the top. The upper echelons can choose to ignore those which make them uncomfortable and deflect them but it’s more transparent that way.

Anyone who wanted to involved today had plenty of opportunity it was all explained on the web site. There’s software which allows questions to be asked text based without having to be on the call like I suggested in my above post. I was unable to attend or view because it was 1pm on a working day and I didn’t have an obvious question.

Yes I read that this morning. Thought it was worth a shot. Thought you would be able to watch it anyway, don't know anything about Zoom. Odd we had a 4pm cut off when we've only 50 or so fans attending. Finally a decent question, the final one, re the training ground. 2 x pitches, 1 x half pitch, groundsman etc accommodation, clubhouse, the full plans to uploaded to the OS. Only other answer of note was TG suggesting they are working on plans for income at the new stadium, which suggests to me there must have made some good progress on a new stadium being built somewhere. MS closing speech, Championship football is the aim, although no time frame actually given! Just Championship football with no timescales? I demand European football within 5 years! (Any Managers available who could deliver that?).

Probably best to do it this way to start and see how it goes. It's easy enough to have 'hand raising features or ask Q's vis a dialogue box depending on the software used and perhaps something that will or can be looked at in future after feedback to the club

www.sli.do/Here’s the tool, slido. If anyone from the club is reading take a look at this for the next one, even if it’s in person! That could be used for questions from the floor, and other meeting software allows you to have a handful of people on the call but allow others to watch without having to be a part of it.

So posters who couldn't even be bothered to send an email seeking an invite now want to tell the club how to run a future virtual forum, you couldn't make it up!
My betting is the 50 or so fans who did bother to attend the meeting found it very positive for the first meeting of this kind and are looking forward to attending the follow up meeting, today there was no real need for follow up questions as it wasn't that type of meeting/it was a fairly short one given the number of questions asked/answered.

Only on gaschat could suggestions about how to get more fans involved and engaged be seen as a negative. Not everyone can make a Friday lunchtime call topper. Like many have said they’d have liked to have been able to have at least watched.

A mate participated and said it was very positive. Well done to everyone who made this happen and thanks to those who took part. Genuinely impressed. TG is a major asset. Karim seems to have the right things to say. IF they are pushing on with everything that they mentioned, then the club, even at the Mem for the foreseeable, will be enjoyable. The big plus's for me are that they seem to be listening: - kids zone for the new season before the matches with a bar as well I think. - Training ground would appear to be very key to everything. looking to involve the community team. going to be a real club hub IMHO - First team in first - U23s next - Gas Girls to also be included. - Training ground is required to contribute to the coffers - additional pitches and facilities will be built as part of the business case. - They are going to share the plans on the OS as this was asked for. Possibly the most interesting thing for me was the SC issue. WAQ addressed this head on and with clarity. Basically eluding to the fact that some previous members were possibly not the right sort of people. They are ready to welcome the right candidate onto the board to represent the fans - they fully know how important we are. TG also actively encouraged people to sign up to the SC and make your voices heard for the future relationship with the club. SC currently hold 3.5% shares I think they said. New ground question raised and shut down pretty quick to be fair as they don't have anything new to say.

I was in the meeting, and it was fine, just the right amount of questions, as any longer and people start to 'drift'. I didn't submit a question, just emailed the link telling them I'd like to watch, and got an email back with all the meeting details.
Having questions pre meeting worked as well, as these online meetings can easily descend in chaos very quickly with people trying to talk over others, and then everyones mic being picked up, and then stopping the person trying to answer or raise the question not being heard. This always happens with 10 people, so 50+ would be a 'mare, and there would always be at least one person who wants to stick there opinion in on every question!
For the first attempt I thought it was great, and look forward to there being subsequent ones in the future.

In case anyone missed it, the club tweeted that they will put out an edited version of the meeting. So for those of us that didn't attend there will be a chance to hear from the horse's mouth.
