Why would it now be a strange experience going into the shop? Surely if you’re going into the club shop you go in there to browse the club merchandise, and on that front nothing will change.
I’d also put the 233% increase in sales volumes largely down to the vast improvement of our online store. As sad as it is someone losing their job, more and more of us are purchasing items online and means less physical manpower required.

Well right now, no one has left, and no one HAS to leave. It’s not compulsory redundancy, it’s voluntary. So basically, for example, if you have someone who is 64 and about to retire at 65 and can retire, if they offered themselves to be made redundant the club would put forward a severance package. Martin Starnes is about that age is he not? I wouldn’t know old boy but I doubt you’ll get your wish there. |

I’m gonna stick my neck out here and make a bold prediction.
The next bit of bad news related to the club will be broken by our fun loving friend Gasincider.

I wonder if gasincider would accept a challenge? To post something about the football-side of the club. Perhaps an opinion on a signing or something.
I mean, after all, this is the fans forum of a "football" club. Or are you only interested in the political side of it? Because surely if you don't care about the actual football, why would you care about how the club is run?

Seems as though the coronavirus has finally hit home at our football club. Some office staff and the shop staff have been offered the chance to take voluntary redundancy. Sad that it has come to this, but I suppose it is inevitable given that there is no money coming in. It will be a rather strange experience going in the shop. But it then begs the question, who will be behind the counter? With the 233% increase in sales volumes recently reported it must have been the last thing on the minds of the staff.
Reality or another bit of fevered imagination?
Problem with you boy, is that you're not credible any more. So I assume anything you come out with sans proof (ha ha) is tosh.
So far, nothing confirmed or official. Let's see how long that lasts, I would hate for you to be wrong again; though even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day I suppose.

Man goes into shop knowing the staff and gets told something by staff that he knows. I mean it’s not a massive leap, lads. Is it? It’s probably true in some form or another. Most businesses are going through restructures right now and cutting their cloth accordingly. Incredibly sad for those involved and hopefully they are in a position to either move into retirement or find other jobs elsewhere. As for GI always posting “bad” news, well, yes, we know he has an objective but as long as you approach his posts with that understanding then you’ll realise you can extract information from them.

Generally highly rated signings that have got most excited. GI hasn't offered a word on those. |

It's not really any different, to my mind, than a poster with a pet-hate-player or some other random agenda, like their favourite formation, or a clueless manager, etc. Usually they do it so much that most forum users are well enough placed to see things in context, in any case. |
