You do realise these sorts of threads always bite us on the arse and give the teds another thing to laugh about? Tbf nothing we say can match the "Europe in five years" malarkey.

You do realise these sorts of threads always bite us on the arse and give the teds another thing to laugh about? Putting aside the 'Europe in five years' teds, sometimes I think the people who get the most enthused about something can also be the most negative when things don't work out. See how a lot of the most anti-Wael people also said how much they were loving it when they thought we were the sixth richest club in the country (or whatever that thing was). I realise most of the comments on this thread are jokes, but def feel like we need to be a bit more realistic and balanced going into the new season.

I won't accept less.

Not sure that was as ridiculous as it sounded; They have one of the richest blokes in the area bankrolling them, and Wolves only narrowly missed out of a Europa League qualifying round spot. Luckily little Lee was just a poor manager.

I would have thought it was ridiculous that Bournemouth would ever be in the top flight when I was chucking coins in their collection buckets 15 years or so ago.

Much easier to attract potential players to the three-time English champions (50s or not!) than... them.

True, was just highlighting a side that have recently come up from the Champ. Sheff Utd and Burnley were only 5 points behind Wolves..........

To start with, get rid of linesmen and replace with modern technology. Offsides, balls out of touch, etc. can easily be decided where required by the referee or off pitch technology within an instant. The linesman at the Mem on the East Terrace side is always in the half adjoining the North Terrace. Does anyone know why this is always the case? EFL Rules? Rules of the game. Linesmen on the left hand side of the pitch with the referee running the quarters to cover the sides the linesmen don’t cover.

There’s also Fosun’s connection with Jorge Mendes, it’s helped them to attract a profile of player that they’d have absolutely no chance of hoping to attract otherwise, especially when they were in the Championship.

Why is the linesman on the East side never on the half alongside the away side which would make the opposing linesman on the West side standing on the half that has the tunnel and the Family Stand?

They align themselves with the LB of the side occupying the half they’re running. Thanks. always wondered about this. Always wondered why they did not change positions when game started if sun is low, etc. perfect explanation! I only know from a brief stint of Sunday football a few years back - I didn’t get on well and ended up running the line most of the time. A ref explained this to me as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. I gave up in the end as it wasn’t worth getting out of bed for. From trying to find an article I think it’s more solidly required at higher levels to be LB side.

I will take the flak if it all goes tits up but I'm looking forward to seeing lots of happy Gasheads in the Championship.
