Just a thought on players who are on good wages and do not want to leave because of reduced wages but do not look like they want to play / perform. As they are sitting on the "bench" and the end contract date gets nearer and nearer, they will probably be looking for more game time in order to sell themselves more? If it is obvious to a club that they are sitting there biding their time and costing them, maybe they should then just put them on gardening leave as a lesson. Further, a few words with the responsible agent wrt not looking on him favourably in any way in future may also help, especially if the agent has a few other players also with the club. The agent sits between the player and the club wrt contracts and financials; put some pressure on agents as well as players? Up The Pressure. UTG Exactly. You want to play silly buggers with us and a new contract threat with other clubs? Fine, stay at home for the next few weeks and see who turns up to see you play. You hear it all the time; no player is bigger than the club! In fact, no one is! The club sits at the top. As regards Ogogo, I agree with most fans who found him committed to the cause. He had grit but lacked a real shot with power or any real skill one could say without being deprecatory? He scored the amazing 3-4 winner away to Shrews but he also got sent off at Sunderland for a stupid, meaningless tackle miles from any threat? Personally, I did not think it was a red at the time! He is to me a “stopper” as his primary role. Everything else is secondary? But he spends too much time on the ground; he needs to change his boots / studs. Always liked him and we may come to a stage where we may miss him because we do not have someone like him. I also find it strange that if he is good mates with JCH the club would say something like this before JCH contract sorted out, one way or another? Why upset JCH? Under The Gun UTG

Love Ogogo - true grit in the challenge - gets round the pitch well and is an enforcer in the Frankie Prince role. Has real passion for the shirt which is more than demonstrated when we score. His celebrations match the fans. I think he’ll be gutted to be told to leave. I also think when we need steel to see us through matches on a cold December night away at Accrington you need his sort in the trenches. He will be missed.

Not worth carrying him if we are planning to compete top 6

Ogogo knew a long time ago that he was being bombed out. Most of the senior lads were told to look for new clubs, including JCH.

JCH was told to find a new club whilst at the same time being offered new and extended terms of contract? Really? I think there is a degree of confusion in your statement.

Ogogo or Upson?
Now that is a no brainer. Ed is by far and away the superior footballer.

That's a bit different to him being told to find a new club, because we don't want him though.

You must be hating the fact we have improved upon every player we have let go.

Have we replaced with better?
On paper we have
If Hargreaves can push on we have a player already who can play that role If needed
All the best teams in the world scare the opposition rather than worrying about the other team
We have enough midfielders to lose one. If we could find someone in LG 2 to take a punt on Bennett I think our out-goings have been about right. This is possibly his last chance to resurrect his career and I hope he has enough pride to want to play first team football. I’ve never rated him but hope he has something to offer some team, maybe he’s never felt a part of our team/fans appreciation?
Anyway I’m thinking this is classic Rovers, have a team to be proud of and not being able to see them!
The brave new world of live football attendance.... will fans be more desperate for the beautiful game than ever due to wanting a release? My old Gas shirts are gathering dust and I hope me and my boy can do our drive from Dorset next year.... I’ll embrace it like a second coming!

Will be interesting to see if our new type of football takes us as high

What a ridiculous post, creating a hypothetical situation to suit your negative agenda 😂 Ignore him. The 'teacher' can't even spell Ogogo's name right. Stopped teaching some 8 years ago. Have been a locksmith for the last 7. Making money from the general public and not the government

So any player that might question the boss is all but gone. After Agogo goes expect JCH to go and our season will start with no punch up front, pretty but inaffectual footy What a ridiculous post, creating a hypothetical situation to suit your negative agenda 😂 Not really. It was obvious that the senior players at the club weren't playing for Garner last season until he let them play the "coughlin way against Sunderland" where of course they won. Look at that team, most have gone, or are going. No more arguements about how they want to play. This is the opposite to the players that forced Martin Dobson out
