We're not coping with their high line that well, all the possession and chances in our own half so far.

FGR lead 1-0 and are easily the better team so far Pretty disappointing if that's the case given we're virtually at full strength, I was hoping we'd win by 2 or 3 clear goals! |

Is anyone else stream very jerky? It’s pretty unwatchable (mind you so’s some of the bits of football I’ve managed to see!) just wondering if the issues my end or not...

Every 30 seconds the stream freezes. A bit like our players really. Despite the wind we’re second best all over the park. The way to beat a high line is with deep runners from midfield. Sympathy for Nicholson and JML, they can only make one run and if the passer takes an extra touch they look silly.
Only pre season but a disappointing half so far.

Poor stream and very poor performance from us so far even allowing for the wind. Not really put FGR under any pressure and we are doing zero in the final third. Not good. |

What's the better BG will come out with some nonsense later that the players were exhausted after a hard weeks training?
If we can't compete with FGR how are we going not compete with Sunderland and Ipswich.

I know its a friendly but 0 shots in a half with a very strong lineup against a team in a lower league is not good...

Early signs show that we have nobody in midfield that can unlock a defence. Also not the players fault that theyre told to play on the line and not come short for it causing us to lose possession stupidly. He's made good signings but BG certainly has a lack of maturity when it comes making a change that'll affect the flow of the match be that either tactical or with a sub.

I abandoned the Laptop /TV and watched the rest of the second half on my phone and it was much better. (The stream that is) my technical support is now having a play to see if she can sort out whatever the issue is during the break.

Very frustrating, we were 2nd best and struggling to string moves together. Our front 3 hardly getting in the game due to lack service.

League clubs have drawn when non league teams etc. If players are working hard they won't play well on match days. It's about getting then ready for the start of the season. In the past we have looked awful in pre season and started well. Other times we have played well in pre season and then been rubbish in the league. The wind is making it hard to play football. Neither team has looked good. They scored a free kick from 25 years and I didn't see the 2nd goal because it's the stream. JCH not looking himself is not helping at the moment. But hopefully that's because he's tired before we play. Rather have them all fitter for the first game. Than let them have an easy week so we can beat FGR in a friendly 😂 |
