Based on what I heard this morning it's the following that are causing them concern:
1) Fans getting to and from the game. Many using trains, underground, buses etc. 2) Fans getting into and out of the stadium at the same time. 3) Fans mixing in enclosed areas inside stands before and after games and at half time. 4) Fans gathering at pie huts etc. 5) Crowded toilets, particularly at half time and after the game.
Some of these could be sorted, others more difficult.

There was a lot of scope for people to be spaced out, wearing masks, using hand sanitisers, closing food outlets etc which would have mitigated a lot of the issues you mention. I mean no disrespect to non league clubs, they need attendances to function too but having 1000 supporters at the mem is a lot safer than having 600 packed into a small non league ground which is what is allowed to happen currently.

This could be the only time that the dated facilities of the mem have an advantage. At no point when entering the terraces are you ever in a concourse or tunnel. Modern stadiums would struggle as you are pretty much indoors when you enter the stadium

I agree.
They could use big emergency exit gates to get fans in and out of stadiums instead of turnstiles. They could ask sections fans to arrive and leave at 15 minute intervals before and after the game.
They could close the inside of stands so fans are always outside. Fans might have to do without a pie and a drink but we could put up with that. They could put in portaloos so no packed toilets.
Point 1 is really the only one clubs have no control over.

What's the cost of staging a match?

What's the cost of staging a match? Not sure, but it would be a lot less if it's played on the pitch rather than on a stage.

This bunch of spineless worms in government haven’t got a clue. They just cant win can they. They came under so much criticism for letting the Liverpool v Athletico Madrid game to go ahead when new cases were in double figures. Now we are back to 3-4000 new cases per day and they're spineless worms for not allowing 1000s of fans back into stadiums. You just can't make it up

I wouldn’t be bothered at all if they cancelled the football season until a vaccine has been certified or was deemed safe for all of us to return. Watching football without the fans is boring and I have no enthusiasm for any of it it at the moment.
Also if it means more clubs will die then how can it possibly carry on knowing all of this.

Almost certainly sounds like fans won’t be allowed back until at least March.

I also see that the National League had said it won’t start unless fans are allowed back.

I can’t see fans returning until March/April at the earliest and we are dependent upon a vaccine being available - sorry but “That’s life”. 😞

With Tottenham and Leyton Orient being cancelled tonight I can only see more games being called off very soon before all games are off again.
