Looks more like a 5-3-2 with that team. No Nicholson in the squad. Is he injured? This would be my guess. Hopefully having 3 in the midfield might help us have a bit more of the ball in the middle of the park. I prefer this to -3-4-2-1 , it’s the formation that got us to 3rd in the league last season , obviously the squad has changed a fair bit but I still think it’s mire balanced than 3-4 - 2-1

Good to see Daly back in the squad as well, gives us another attacking option to bring on if needed.

3-5-2 would be my guess as well, and I think it suits the squad we've got, especially if we're looking to add another midfielder.
3-5-2 gives us the benefit of having 3 CBs and 3 CMs. Providing we can get the ball into JML and Hanlan and the 3 CMs and wingbacks can get up in support, we should have enough there to cause Ipswich problems.
UTG!

Can't see where the goals are gonna come from today, although the last time I said that I think we scored 4! Hanlon and JML are both capable of scoring, it's not like we've no stickers, plus Ayunga's on the bench. Conceding goals is the concern for me. None of those three have a record of scoring goals on a regular basis at this level.

Is this gonna be on Radio Bristol? I can't ever seem to pick up a Rovers match on the radio when we're at home! I always pick up sh**ty games, rugby and Welsh games, but never us! 😭 Any ideas? Anyone? It's on all the usual frequencies today. Generally if we're at home or away at the same time as our noisy neighbours then its on DAB. If we're away and the sh*t are at home then its 94.9 FM. Great! Thank you teanbiscuits guess I need to get around to tuning my TV in then (I don't know many people my generation who own an actual radio!)

Anyone? Isn’t it normally on DAB when Rovers are at home? All I've got is an FM tuner on my phone (and that's a pain at the best of times!)

Anyone recreating the match day experience at home?
I've had a pasty in the oven for 6 hours, should be dry as a bone by half time.
Also planning to take a slash behind the garden shed 5 mins before kick off.

Anyone? Just pay a tenner and watch it you tight git. 😁 You will get the radio Bristol commentary then, simples. 👍 Can't really argue with that 😂 (although my bank balance might 😂)

None of those three have a record of scoring goals on a regular basis at this level. It's Horfield Derangement Syndrome. No matter what the actual facts say, these totally unproven players are obviously unrecognised prodigies. That is of course until they actually start to do well and then they will suddenly develop "an attitude problem" which makes them "lazy and uninterested".

I'd imagine we might get to see Westbrooke a bit further up the pitch which will be interesting as he has obvious quality.
