This is my point nowadays. All teams play some nice ‘stuff’ at times. It’s a con. It’s the business ends that matter. Meanwhile I suggest Garner has a word with Harries about turning his back on the third goal. And Ehmer’s effort(lack of) in getting back into position for the fourth. We have become a pathetic professional football team with many players pretending to care. Oh dear it sounds like the team that took us to the conference. A bunch of journeymen that didn't care. Have we and Wael been conned, I hope not.

All of these players he has brought in have the feel and look of passing through. That's never a good sign.not one will be here next season so it will be another rebuild.

Okies...
BG interview:
This is his chance to kiss and make up with the fans. It's his chance, his words, his structure of reply....in essence, this can be used as an opportunity to reach out to the support base and galvanise everyone within the club because the focus is on him. No other.
How I see it, I'm afraid I find it insulting.
Most of the interview is deflection. As it has been on so many occasions. The game yesterday I saw didn't revolve around referee decision(s). Yes, it was true it was one factor, but I thought there were so many other factors that were more important than decisions.
If most of the interview was deflection, I see this as deliberate deception.
How offensive to the paying fans is that?
BG hasn't taken responsibility in any of the post match interviews I've seen. I'm not asking for self flagellation in public, but this isn't what I think the paying customer deserves. It shows lack of respect for the the very people you are meant to be entertaining.
I don't agree with BG philosophy, but I can cope with it if I can see what he's trying to do on a matchday. Unfortunately, from seeing the majority of BG matches it's worse than cr@p, and his public evaluation after just leads to further bewilderment...?
Why is he still here?

Best summer transfer window EVER!!!11 What's that suppose to mean? When we signed the likes of Ehmer did you post on those threads that they were poor signings? We have signed some decent players the problem is we've shown the likes of Craig and Ogogo the door and sold a £1+m striker and seemingly banked the proceeds. At least when we sold Harrison DC was given £150K to waste on Payne.

For a defensive midfielder to turn his back on a shot doesn’t bode well. He’s been the weakest link out of many so far this season. Ogogo must be wondering how the hell that lad has got the nod in front of him.

I recall how Sam Mathews was going to destroy the league despite never having played a competitive game before joining us- whatever happened to him? It gets re-hashed every summer and the players consequently fail to live up to the hype and then the buyer’s remorse kicks in. You would think we would have learned by now to keep it low key and wait and see what is actually produced on the pitch. Where are all the people who were tipping us for promotion based on our signings?

I can't imagine anybody would suggest SM, who'd been playing at Eastleigh the previous season, would destroy league 1. If we don't comment on whether we feel we've made good or bad signings during the transfer window that would take away a big part of the forum.
Although if you are suggesting all the players we've signed are poor signings we may as well stick with BG, as a new manager surely won't do any better with apparently such poor signings

Um...the paper, the signings, the manager and reality are different organisms. The tippers are more socially distanced than ever! Whom can blame them?!

We might as well twist. NOW. Before the end of transfer window. And stick with a new encumbrance that has third division experience, preferably promotion, and contacts... We still have time. Today.

Trust me Mathews was talked up because I recalled looking him up and thinking “him?!”. I think people just want to appear knowledgeable, like they know the lower leagues inside out so they wax lyrical over bang average players. It was a coup that we got Grant apparently and yet from the comments above he’s another that should have been allowed to go under the radar. Ehmer was the best defender in the league last season apparently yet this season he’s slow and has already scored an own goal and as for Baldwin...In fact that’s the biggest irony of all, our defence was supposed to be a fortress and it’s conceded 7 goals in 3 league games and the last two against Doncaster were almost comical in their shitness. Watch them in a Rovers shirt and then start bigging them up. The bookies must be laughing at the easy money they have made on Rovers to go up this season. And they might not be poor signings but they definitely don’t seem to be of the calibre that they were purported to be on here. Unless Garner is so bad at management he’s making exceptional players look ordinary.

I have defended BG here but to explain that result this way is embarrassing. Rank bad defending and as usual no penetration particularly from flanks. JML was never in the game and looks nothing like the loan player of last season. I said 10 games - it’s now 9 but the pressure builds every game. And I am a rose tinter! I also subscribed to the general "let's see where we are after 10 games" thing, but we've now had 3 games, so there should be 7 left. However, I'm now leaning on the side of BG leaving now, simply because there have been no signs that we'll turn it around in these first 3 games. I'm not sure where you get your "it's now 9" logic from? Never saw any conclusions possible from first two Games but Donny and following 9 realistic. Club unlikely to act but it’s as far as my patience goes.

It’s a poor interview, yes. It’s the interview of a man who knows he’s under pressure. He had no real answers apart from repetitively blaming the ref. Worrying. We actually did look better on the ball today but defensively we were abysmal. Unless that improves we have no chance this year. It's the same errors that occurred in preseason. Leaving players unmarked and standing off to allow passes and crosses. A fluid back 3 causes alsorts of complications when wing backs are upfield as well. BG is asking too much from league one central defenders. Besides watching kilgour ehmer harries and Jaakkola make hurried passes to each other over and over is not entertaining football. It runs the clock down but is boring.
