Hope leahy gets used to bench warming - cost the team a vital victory tonight and I remember when we never looked like losing a penalty shoot out
Bring back Hinton etc

Brannigan scores the winning penalty but no justice really as he should have been booked twice.
But someone tell JVS to cut out the clowning around, you dont save many that way!

Decent performance by all accounts, but were any of our penalties taken by a forward/striker?

If we win the next game then we could go through. The penalty situation makes it complicated though. Oxford on 4, Walsall on 3. Us on 2

That was extremely impressive from Rovers fringe & youth lads tonight. Oxford were never in it & dare I say a battering for the majority of the game from the Gas. Superb performances all round & those involved shouldn’t be too disheartened.

To put a positive spin on things, getting knocked out of the Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy will ease the fixture congestion this season.

No doubt about it that was a good performance, shame about the penalty and follow up miss as I thought we deserved to win that game, yet again its obvious we need somebody who knows how to put the ball in the net, its so frustrating seeing a good performance that doesn't produce a positive result!

Decent performance by all accounts, but were any of our penalties taken by a forward/striker? Unfortunately we don't have a decent striker, he is now at Peterborough. Daly reminds me of Reilly. Runs around a lot but a striker he is not. Had three decent chances tonight, but had to have a first touch every time and that let him down everytime.

Some really good performances from the youngsters tonight. Walker looked a real handful. Mehew good again. Good to see Philips make his debut.

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Something we’re used to under Garner.
