Another rovers away win, just to keep my nephew quiet for another six months, was giving me earache last season before the game, not much to say afterwards, been reminding him all week,so if your reading this BG we need a big performance. You got a Red infiltrator? Show no mercy solider!

1-1 seems a popular shout and its the score i have had in mind all WK. Like us last time out Lincoln were struggling until Penalties and sending offs sent them on there way to victory, don't think we have anything to fear, if performances in reserve matches are to be a yard stick in which to measure ability then surely Tom Mehew has to be in the squad today? Hope so.

To me this is a bench mark match; the Imps are a unfancied side who are obviously playing well and top of the table. This afternoon, for me, I will be able to fairly assess where Bristol Rovers actually are. Personally, I want a all round cohesive team performance, creativity up front with shots on target, and a solid performance from the back 5.

Play like we did in the first half against Northampton and the game will be over before we’ve started. I hope Hanlan is brimming with confidence and we can at least have a go. I have big worries about our defence. We have had moments in all of our games so far this season where we look a shambles at the back. I don’t think this Lincoln side will let us get away with it this week.
3-0 to Rovers.

On the BBC Sport website they have an interview with the Lincoln manager. He was talking about how they changed their team, got in lots of very young players and signed new players early in the transfer market. He's not looking to peak this season but is looking ahead to next season to push on..........sounds familiar!!! Hopefully with two young teams both trying to play football instead of hoofball it should be a good game today.

With Lincoln's fine early form and our total inability to perform away from the Mem, I would be pleased with a draw and some more encouraging performances, particularly from the defence. 1-1 UTG

Mmm,interesting that many of our opponents seem to view games against us as 'must wins' , they do not seem to hold us in to high esteem!, also as for falling over in the box ,what a stupid comment especially as i doubt none of todays starters were in the squad last season, anyway they just played 'singing the blues' on the wireless (that's radio, music stream to the under 40s!) gotta be a good omen, up the Rovers!

3-1 Lincoln.
I've got a feeling we'll go 1-0 up, but Lincoln will eventually overpower us.
Hope I'm wrong! UTG

Not sure you can say after just 4 league games against mainly weakish opposition anything is "paying off" let's see where they are at the end of the month, after they've played the likes of Fleetwood, Ipswich & Donny away. I sense BG could say similar about about being ahead of the game in the transfer market last January and in the summer!

Physical dangerous players, who’s he been watching? 😂 Haven’t you heard. We’ve re-signed David Pipe and he’ll be wandering around the midfield armed with a bottle.
