Tories will squander billions on cocking up the vaccination process, its bound to be some Tory chums making £££. Let's not let this turn into another political debate eh? Agree but seems to be allowed from one side of the fence. A match day thread was swiftly moved to general recently because the political comments were from a different angle!

I have to stop getting so involved, I get wrapped up in politics and Garner dramas. Getting really fed up with this forum, every thread goes one of two ways a. Negativity over the the whole of the club from team to board b. Politics I guess I've got 2 options, stop getting involved or just sod off out of it

I agree that politics should be kept out of this section because it is about football and BRFC. There is another part of this forum where you can discuss politics, but if you’re off message they just gang up on you. I enjoy your contributions, you seem to have some good knowledge about the club and it would be a shame we’re you to leave. One hopes the person making disparaging remarks about the government and the vaccine gets a Mod PM about political statements on here, but I suspect those are only earned for non-Marxist comments.

Can I kindly ask we stop political comments now. Any further comments will be spun out to GC, regardless of their affiliation.

Hopefully the vaccines being created will stop other people and their families being put through such trauma.

Let's not let this turn into another political debate eh? Agree but seems to be allowed from one side of the fence. A match day thread was swiftly moved to general recently because the political comments were from a different angle! That's just not true. There were comments on both sides. If you want to Dam lie about stuff like that then PM me and lie to me there, instead of trying to stir up sh**. In any case, if there's a political comment and everyone ignores it, then it's easy for the mods to ignore, coz it's being ignored. It's only when they're not ignored and responded to and disagreed with it turns into a political argument. So, the easiest way to avoid the political sh** on here is for everyone to ignore it when a comment is made.

It may also mean we can regain some normality, including going to the Mem again. Just let it rest, please.

FFS, one of our own has just lost a close family member to this virus, and has two others who are in hospital. We've been told that the vaccine is now very close to being available, can we not just be thankful that many will now be spared this suffering, and share our thoughts on this thread.
My mum will be 97 next month (hopefully) and lives in a care home. We've been living on a knife edge for the last 9 months, especially as staff have had a couple of false/positive tests. I don't give a flying feck about your politics - if you want to dampen the mood, please go elsewhere and do it.

You are without doubt suffering from a sense of extreme arrogance. I know precisely who I was quoting and suggest you take heed of Tilly’s post and wind your arrogant neck in.

Guys,
AF made the point from a mod point of view, there is no need to attack him for that.
But...
Please stop sniping at one another. We really don’t need it at the moment in life and we certainly don’t need it on this thread. Everyone is dealing with their own problems with this virus as has been highlighted. Let’s not make it worse eh.
Please let it be the end of the matter.
Thanks.

Delete any political comments from football threads if possible or if not move the whole thread to General with no exceptions?

I would expect any Mod to refrain from swearing , calling other posters a liar and then inviting them to a PM argument. No-one has attacked AF, and all I did was point out that he should refrain from such aggressive behaviour and let a sensitive matter rest. He wouldn’t accept that and came back with a further insulting comment. This started out as a thread of hope for a better future. Quite why Devonblue should see this as an opportunity to attack the government is beyond me, and it was that comment which started this unpleasantness. That AF should choose to wade in in the way he did, using his authority as a Moderator is, quite frankly, inexcusable. As is your attempt to justify his actions.

And so, because they’re unable to browbeat people and resolve the matter to their satisfaction, and won’t under any circumstance give suitable advise to one of their own, the Moderators take the cowards way out and move the entire thread to General Chat.
No doubt the inter-Mod PM’s have been pinging back and forth, trying to work out how to get AF off the hook.
Pathetic.

It was discussed in advance of not being Rovers related, but allowed it to continue as it seemed to be something for people to post in and share feelings.
Then we had 2 comments - one either side of the political spectrum, of course 1 of those has been completely ignored by both posters claiming to be victims.
It looked like it was done and ignored, before eric had frustratingly brought it up again. From there it spiralled from all sides and no longer is the thread it started out to be.
If you'd like to report any post from AF, please do so. However, do be aware that insults have also been noted from other posters too. We'd rather things usually sort themselves out, but that isn't always the case.
It's unfortunate that we have to keep moving every other thread into GC, but part and parcel of the job it seems. Thanks for your understanding.
